Hi I've been working on my spinning pole for 5 months now, but up to now, I can't make my pole spin If I need to (example, doing my gemini, inverts), what is the technique to keep you spinning if you are off the ground? My pole have its own mind :( by the way I am using XPert spinning pole)

Have you had this problem on other poles, or just yours? If it's just yours, the pole might be over-tightened, making it difficult for it to spin. This is definitely the case if the pole makes a bumping noise or spins unevenly. Try loosening it a little and see if that helps.
Hi Elektra , honestly, I dont have any opportunity to try other pole (there is no school for pole or I know anyone doing the exercise in the area where I am 🙁 By the way, Which part of the pole I need to loosen? I had removed both screws on the bottom to make the pole spinny..
I didn't mean the set screws. I meant loosen in the following sense: when you put the pole up, you unscrew the entire thing to make it taller, in order to give enough pressure to hold it up. It's possible that you unscrewed it a little too much, meaning there's too much pressure on the bearings for the thing to spin smoothly.
Ohhh... I got it Elektra... I'll try to untighten it a little.. but do you have other techniques to keep you spinning if you are in your gemini pose (example)?

Once your body is away from the pole and the pole stops and/or slows it can be difficult to get it moving again. For me, I try to do a preceding move that will get me going. For example, I get more spin if I invert straight up (basic invert as opposed to V-Invert)), holding that spin for an extra second or two before I move into the Gemini. If you are up on the pole already, I get more spin if I give a good swing into my inverted aerial before moving into Gemini. If you are close to the floor or ceiling, you can give yourself a little push. Other then that, remember the rule of thumb is that the closer your body is to the pole, the faster you will go. Play around with transitions and see what you can get. Don't forget about Veena's lessons! She shows lots of spinning tricks!
