Cant Get Down my Xpert pole!

Hey ladies, I held a party at my place the other night, and some lovely male friends thought itd be funny to swing on it. Long story short, it fell. Nothing was damaged (from what I can tell). I started to put it back up and he was turning it to tighten it. He tightened it much tighter, to where I would need another extension (the slip cover doesnt cover the whole screwy part like normal (sorry about the horrible terminology). Anyway, I wanted to loosen it a bit, andddd It wont loosen! I unscrewed the three screws, but the pole wont turn! But, it works fine! Spinny mode works too... buttt I cant get it down! He even tried his man power and couldnt get it.... any thought?!
