can't keep my x-pole static! help!

The one finicky thing about my pole has been every time I put it up it seems like the screws for spin mode are loosened and the pole wants to rotate some, so I just tighten them back down. Now I've got them as tight as they'll go and the pole is still rotating some! It doesn't go all the way around, but if I grab it I can rotate it back and forth a bit. I bought my pole used a few months ago, though granted very gently used, but I'm wondering if maybe the previous owner over-tightened those screws or something. Has anyone else had this problem and know what I should do? There's nothing about it on the x-pole site so I'm tempted to use the contact feature but I wanted to ask here first.

I'm kinda having the same problem too, but it's after it's been in spin mode, I have to reset the screws like 3 or 4 times before it'll stay in static. Is this normal? 😕

This used to happen to me too till i realized 2 things: 1) make sure the holes where the screw thingies go are lined up with the little x's on the base of pole 2) when you use the key to insert the screws, use it so that the LONG side of it is sticking out, & the short side is going inside.. doing it the opposite way wont screw them in all the way. Hope this helps! if you're already doing this & it's still moving, i'd call X-pole.. they're very helpful. 😉

Azriel is right, line it up with the X and make sure they're in tight. This is not normal, if you still have troubles call X pole and explain it to them, they can give you some more tips and help you out. 🥂

Actually the most recent time I tried the one problematic screw finally gave way on tightening and now slips meaning its definitely stripped somewhere in there. It's just a little give so I'm not worried about it being unsafe to practice on but I don't like it one bit. 😈

You should have called X pole......If the owner before over tightened them there is nothing you can do a stripped screw is a prob....you could see if replacing the little screws would fix it, if your lucky maybe the inside is still fine. =( sadly, yeah still moving. My pole does that too, but it only rotates a small amount so it really doesn't bother with my practices. I usually have to re-tighten the screws maybe once or twice each practice. If it bothers you too much, you could probably get a replacement part from X pole. They have wonderful customer service. They had once replaced my TG A pole for free, because the TG coating had been stripped off after a short time of use. They had also replaced my dome because the spin option was being wonky.

I was having the same problem and I realized (for me atleast) it wasn't the bottom screws for spin/static I was having problems with, it was the middle where the pole's come together. They came loose and I kept thinking it was the bottom as well. Just something to try. Once I tightened that middle section again I haven't had a problem with it moving like it was.
