hi everyone im seriously considering buying an xpole but before i do i just wondered, can anyone advise as to which is better grip wise? I heard the titanium gold is meant to improve grip but ive never tried it so cant say. Can anyone give me a rough idea? Thanks x

Hey Caz! I bought a titanium gold x-pole but it has of yet to be delivered. Should be anyday now though. So if you aren't in a rush I can let you know. Although I don't know how much help I can be because it will be my first ever pole lol but I've done alot of research. From what I've read through my hours and hours of scowering the net, the Titanium has more grip than the chrome. And since I'm a male I went with TG because I want to do more climbs and inverts than spins. I think it depends more so on your personal dance taste which you would more likely prefer. If you want to do more spins than inverts I'd go with the chrome. Of course you can do spins and inverts with both kinds. The general consensus though is that spins are easier on chrome and climbs and inverts are easier on titanium. If you are going to dance professionally or for competitions then chrome is closer to the standard used in bars and clubs. I'm not concerned about dancing professionally, just for fitness, so I went with the Titanium cuz I wanna climb!! I'mma cat hahaha I hope that helps you out somewhat. Jungle Cat 🐱

Thanks for that info Jungle. I've been thinking about getting another pole (either TG or a brass). I would really like it if X-pole had a one pc perm. pole. 😀
Titanium x-pole are in either silver or gold. We have both at the studio and titanium is the way to go. Chrome is slippery and very soft. Polegirlsonia has a couple of chrome at her studio and rings have cut the chrome surface, ergo titanium being a better choice for durability. stainless (right grade required) are great once they've been scratched up a bit. We have 8 of these and they're great for learning on, esp as ours are static. Spring that extra cash on the titanium if you have grip concerns. Gold is grippier, but the silver is just as good. we have 45mm in both silver and gold and they're completely fine and our 50mm is silver. If you're going to dance with rings on, hmmmm, then get titanium. It will last longer. Personally, I'm a firm believer in the no ring policy. stops skin getting pinched between them and ensures better grip. I hate dancing with mine on. OK, my 15cents over and done with. 🫡

Titanium x-pole are in either silver or gold. Wait a minute!! Just to avoid confusion. 🤔 X pole has 2 options as far as finishes go. Titanium which is gold coated. Chrome is silver in color. There is not a silver titanium pole.....at least not that we can get in the US. Do you really have a silver Titanium pole Rouge???IF you do I want to know why we don't have that option here! 🙁 Oh now I'm really curious let me know Rouge 😀

I own a TG and a chrome pole and I personally prefer the TG grip-wise. I had bought the chrome one first and had it for a year before I decided to get a TG. I have had the TG for about 3 months, and have already noticed a big improvement in my abilities. I have also never heard of a silver titanium Xpole. I am curious about that as well.
I think if you want to be able to adapt to different poles easier the chrome is probably the better option (like if you go pole class that has chrome or stainless poles). But if you have very sweaty hands then the titanium would be better. Just on a personal perspective, I have very sweaty hands and I can cope fine on a chrome (if I'm having a bad day out comes the grip aid) I have used titanium and it's great initially, but I find once it gets a bit dirty it goes very very slippery (just personal experience - other people don't seem to have that problem).

I saw the Titanium Matt Silver on the Australian X-Pole site! I wish they had them in the US. hi everyone! for my bday present im getting my xpole!!! so excited and eager to learn faster... then taking classes in Hollywood 3 times a month 0_0 my question is how much more difficult is it to spin static on a TG xpole? I already read the posts but they didn't really answer my question. I'm a beginner interested in climbs, spins and easy learned tricks.......until i get way more fixable haha. will TG be worth it? or should i stick to chrome? i want to learn spins on static mode but with the extra grip on gold wont that be taken away slightly? none of my instructors ever used a gold pole, and i have little upper body strength, and sweaty hands. hope im making sense thank you

i haven't really noticed a difference between the two finishes in regards to spins, with the exception of the reverse grab. That one is more reliable on the TG. But if you are going to take classes, I would suggest you wait and sample the poles they have, then decide what you want. Do you know what kind of poles they use? One thing is certain, everyone is different. Some people have complained of too much grip when spinning while others complain of too little. I think it all boils down to personal preference.
I have a chrome x-pole and I would go for titanium now if I were to buy a second. I have seen the titanium advertised with a silver finish as well, but I have never seen one in front of me. I don't think you would have problems spinning on a titanium pole, I have never used one, but I have used a brass pole - which is grippier than the chrome - and I liked it a lot and had no problem spinning.
it completely depends on the person. i find my hands stick too much on spins on the chrome x-pole! my hands dont sweat at allll! to the TG would be to grippy for spins for me. totally a matter of preference and the persons body
hmmm i know at the studio they have 2 chrome 50mm xpoles, didn't have a problem when learning but my legs get sweaty and i stick or cant move around good. the other 3 studios in my area dont use brass or TG so im not sure where to go so i can have experience with one. thats the problem 🙁
Well if you stick on chrome, I imagine you would stick even worse on titanium as it is formulated to be more grippy
haha really? im a naturally sweaty person in general, but i keep hearing sweaty hands need grip aids on chrome. and when my thighs got sweaty i had trouble sliding down the pole or climbing.
Wow! Sweaty hands slip but sweaty thighs stick? It sounds like some sick joke from the gods or something haha Im so sorry. I wish I knew how to help you. That's a tough one. I've never heard of that before but I'm new at poling so I don't have any experience with it. Only what I've read. I hope someone reads the post and can help you out soon love. Maybe you could try a little lotion or oil on just your thighs? 🤔 I'm stumped!

Hey guys I'm I chrome lover.....I feel if you can dance on what some consider "difficult" pole...like a chrome or 50mm than you will be able to dance on ANY type of pole. The biggest issues I feel as far as grip goes........ body temperature and pole temperature and humidity. 😀 My first pole was a Platinum Stages stainless steel... not my grip preference but once I was warm and the pole finally warmed it was usable. When winter came around it was darn near impossible to use because my pole room was cooler and the air was dry. Once I moved up to a Chrome X the grip was so much better! Both in the summer and winter. I still love the grip of the Chrome X and I know Tara Karina has both the TG and Chrome X and she has told me the difference isn't huge and she will probably go back to her Chrome when she's able to put her pole up again. I look at the TG as a fun splurge for a pole dancer....its gold so its different looking but I'm just so happy with the chrome I have no desire to switch to a TG.

Maybe you could try a little lotion or oil on just your thighs? 🤔 I'm stumped! never use lotion or oil on your body anywhere before using your pole!!!!!!!
Sorry Veena!! I shouldn't be given out information or advice on something that I have no experience with. I was just trying to help but that is no excuse. Listen to the experts!!! No lotions or oils. I will never make that suggestion to anybody ever again! That was my screw up! 🫡
hmmmm will for now ill stay with he 50mm chrome xpole, since that's what Ive only used. I have a full month to decide. maybe i shouldn't dance so fast? I live in the los angles area were the weather is always hot/warm. only cold 4 months out of the year or less haha. ill keep trying asking around the about TG pole. thanks for all your help guys!

We have 2 x 45mm, one in gold and one in silver and a 50mm in silver, all titanium. Chrome is also an option, which some of our students have. http://www.xpole.com.au is the site Maybe you'll just have to come visit us then and take home a silver one. 😉 polegirlsonia is who we get ours from as she is an authorised reseller. Clear as mud??
now as to the other questions re grip on the titanium poles, silver is less grippy than the gold. I've used chrome once and didn't like it that much, far too slippy for me. As an eczema sufferer, my skin is really dry, which means I need the titanium to "assist" when climbing. Along with PVC boots, until I'm sweaty, then I can clamber up like a ungraceful, clumsy thing. 😂 (Don't get me started on the creams, lotions, dietary stuff. I'm allergic to fowl and parabens mainly). Rosin is great as a grip aid, but is pretty noisy / sticky on static poles. Keep it for spinning and strength holds.
