Hi Ladies , how long after a boob job did you wait to get back to pole. If i decide to get a boob job i will be going from barley a B cup to D cup. I dont want to be off the pole for too long? since my boobs are almost non existent right now they are never in the way. I would assume 1 month to heal should be good enough to jump back on my pole routine.

I don't have them myself but have worked with many, many girls that got them while poling/dancing. Don't do it too soon, I've seen girls try pole tricks and rip their incisions open! I'd wait until your surgeon says it's okay! Ask him/her when you go for surgery when they think would be a good time to start back up :)

I had mine done long before I started pole but I used to lift weights when I got mine. you might not be able to pole for 4-6months afterwards. I know it is different for everybody and everybody wants to think they are the exception. but dont do it unless you are ready for that to be a possibility. I know I couldnt lift weights for a few months after mine.

I'm glad I got mine. i love them even though it took me out of the gym for a while. :)

I had a pole student who was 6 months post op. first time trying pole and it was too painful for her to hold her body weight just hanging on the pole. attempting fireman was completely out of the question, and when we tried a simple "step around" she said she was having a lot of pain with that too... and both feet stay on the ground for that move. She looked in pretty good shape aside from that and said she thinks it may just always be painful like that. Now I doubt it will always be painful, and that's my only experience with breast augmentation surgery, it just happened to be a bad one. but in my unprofessional opinion it makes no sense that it will never heal or stop hurting. so just be sure to ask your doctor all these questions before. Hope this didn't scare you away from making a decision, important to know about some cases of slow healing though. (and to be cautious, she ended up leaving the class after a little while because any moves with arms holding the pole were painful)

I wasn't pole dancing when I got mine done but I definitely did not have any pain six month postop with any activities including weight lifting. In fact I only took pain meds for two days--just wasn't painful for me. I don't recall how long before I was allowed to lift weights, etc. as my surgery was nearly 10 years ago. I would just ask your surgeon and follow those instructions exactly. Good luck.
yes, pain is no usually the limiting factor with implants. the limiting factor is the implant pocket and how long that tissue or muscle will take to heal. everybodys muscles are different and sometimes the surgeon can have a more difficult time creating that pocket for the implant. the muscle is dissected away from your chest wall and the implant is put under the muscle ( if they are submuscular implants) this stretches the muscle and it feels like the muscle wont relax for a while , until the muscle fibers lengthen and the implant settles into the pocket. this is a weird feeling but usually isnt painful. the first few days I stayed on pain meds, after that I was fine. but I did absolutely no activity for 1 month. wasnt allowed to raise my arms above my head. had to wear button up shirts,etc. for that student, something may have gone wrong for her and she may not have known. she could have torn her muscle holding the implant and that could have explained why she had pain. some people get hemotomas and that can cause pain or their body just heals funny and they develop fluid around the implant. and some people consider the strange tightness to be painful but they dont actually feel pain, it just feels weird and they dont know how else to describe it. your surgeon is the one in your body and he/she knows what they had to do to get the implant in. they will have a good idea of how long it will take to heal internally. some people have very thick muscles and it may take longer to heal. some may have very thin weak muscles and that may take longer to heal because it is fragile. this is why everybody has such different stories. it wasnt terrible for me at all pain wise. but healing and getting active again maybe took 3 months for me
