There are ways to rip video off youtube. So basically, if you put something up on youtube, there is likely a way for someone else to pull it off youtube and do whatever with it, no matter whether you set it as embeddable or not. I suppose watermarking your video would be the best option if you wanted to keep your name associated with your video.
Another red flag is that she says she runs a studio, but the studio is not listed... This is another red flag: "Pole dancing is amazingly easy for beginners given the right training" Also, the affiliates earnings are almost as much as the "course" itself, so that's weird.

My red flag would have been the 3 DIFFERENT women in the YOU TUBE videos. Geesh! Hopefully she gets shut down soon. Elle could have made a better web sight. ( my cat)

Wow, I had no idea how much of an impact this discussion would have. You ladies are so supportive and I appreciate your shared concern, I really do. Luckily the payment hadn't gone through yet, so I was able to stop the money leaving my account. But all the dust you have all been kicking up has had a MAJOR impact. It looks like "Miss Amber Starr" has taken down her google + profile and no longer uses the picture (of who knows who) in her ezine articles. I also noticed that when you do a search for her this discussion thread comes up in the results!!! Although I would really like to find out who this con artist is, I feel a great deal of comfort knowing that even if we never find out at least us talking about it will hopefully save another person from falling into the "Amber Starr" trap. I also agree that the owners of the YouTube videos (and that picture) should be informed. I doubt they would be happy about someone profiting from all their hard work.

This is no different than the internet dating sites where people "catfish". It's just now made it to the pole world. Most likely it's someone in a foreign country using the internet again for another scam.

OMG insane. that would have been really funny if we saw a picture of Veena on there! I'm glad you were able to stop the money from going through Aporbee. Sick, lazy people out there.

I really appreciate the discussion. I almost fall in the trap until I saw a picture of a video I have already checked in youtube. That was the moment when I got suspicious and decided to wait. I am glad didnt waste my money.
My my, did you see the DMCA (Digital Mellinenum Copyright Act) page on that site. Sounds like they are fully aware that their is some NON-original content they have included on their site. Maybe some people who have been stolen from will take them to task.

I like SV! I hear great things...liked her free lessons, and love how she's dedicated to site and to helping everyone :) il be getting her lessons...the only thing is Ide like to b able to see the lessons on my tv so it's kinda like a class lol
I found out about this website because I was getting constant emails about it in my inbox from 'Holly Munson'. It seems that they are somehow affiliated with the site PoleFreaks.com, which is a pole dancing blog. I must have given them my email for some bogus contest or something and they either sold it or are directly selling this program.
The "Tutorials" section of PoleFreaks is also FILLED with videos ripped from YouTube, etc. There was an emotioncatcher tutorial on the very first one I clicked. Some of the videos aren't videos that were posted as tutorials in the first place, they have titles like "working on my aerial invert." So if you have any pole vids out in the world, you might want to click through and see if there's anything of you being used without permission.

Yeah. It was what I asked for for Christmas in anticipation of getting a home pole. Even as a new poker I Took one look and saw it was a waste. Has anyone gotten money back? Hate to tell husband but......
Hi I signed up for theses 'classes' after seeing lots of ads for it on the pole freaks website, I thought well it's advertised the pole freaks website (which i find good) so thr lessons must be good. I paid my 50 dollars or whatever via paypal and quickly discovered the videos r pulled straight off youtube I put in a PayPal dispute and got my money refunded almost straight away. Once I signed up I couldn't find an email address or anything to contact the owner. At least I got my money back.. Not sure if u would if u paid via a credit card or whatever So glad I found studio veena, I thinks it's amazing I've learnt sooo much, prob a lot more than if I went to a class once or twice a week. What I don't understand is why this pole freaks website is somehow affiliated with advertising this scam?

I am going to lock this thread. Just to clarify the reason, every time it pops up on the front of the site it looks like its saying the online pole dance lessons are a scam, unless someone takes the time to dig into the thread. Which ends up hurting us for the day. I will leave this in our forums so that it is indexed for reference but you will no longer be able to respond.
