Base insert stuck to base plate (original) x-pole

After getting my pole up for the first time and realizing I needed an extra extension. I had to take it back apart and put it in the bag. When I came to the last part, my base insert wouldn't get of the base plate, I tried some WD-40, pulled as hard as I could, nothing!!!!!! My husband isn't home so he can't help me either *sighs* . The pole is still usable, it can still go in static and spinning mode, it's just a big hasstle to transport cause the base plate is suppose to be inserted into the dome to be put in the bag. That happened with my new version. I got it out by stepping on the base and pulling hard upward. I also pulled the screws out completely. Hope that helps.

i have the same problem. i've tried using those deals you use to open jars that give you a good grip to twist it off but nothing. now i'm trying to remember if it was screwed on or just popped on?......

Have you tried the broom handle method? There is a video on Xpoles account on how to get an xjoint out if yours happens to spin. This has been the only way I know how to get stuck pieces apart. I had to do the same thing with my new X Pole but on the top. It will and does come out.

I don't have have the xpert xpole, mine is the original one.... so it doesn't have the x joint technology... :)

Is the pole hollow? I did not think that where the threads are were solid so you could still use the broom handle to get that part out.

I had the same problem I think it screws on and I had to really work it off luckily I had to attach b pole back on and use the release tool to turn in opposite directions one on the base and one on the b pole

Yes the pole is hollow, but the base plate is too heavy to use a broom handle on it. I think it would break or smash the broom handle, I'll give it a try though....I tried taking the screws off, but that's not where the problems is, you can tell it's almost about the come off, just that last little part of is stuck... I have found out that the base plate with base insert stuck to each other still fit's in the bag along with the dome, it just looks weird (a huge bulge).

I had a an xpole origional, and the same thing happened to me as well. I never could figure out a way to get it off, once it's jammed, it pretty much jammed.

Hey girls! How is it going, did you fix it? I have the same problem, but I have X-Pole Xpert. I cannot take out the pole from the base. I asked manager in my country, she said: "The base may not be pulling out because of the uneven floors. That is, if the pole stood at a slight incline, then all of the pressure fell on one side of the pin on the lower base, especially on a spins. There could have been formed the groove on the pin (dowel, connector) flattened the metal. So the top of the pin, like a nail-head, doesn't let it to pull out now. The only option is to leave it on a cold for a day, so metall get shrink. Even if it won't work, don't worry, it's not so bad. The pole remains completely functional. It may also be installed on any surface, just the base will remain in the pole." I left it on a cold (-10 °C) for a night, and it didn't help :( But may it will help somebody. Excuse me for my english.

Same thing happened to ma older xpert aswel. I had to sell mine lyk that as even my hubby to be couldn't get it out. Hope u get it out hun. x
