Does anyone have a removable Aradia Fitness pole, or have any experience with using them in one of their dance studios? It looks like they are a well-made brass pole, and one that I can buy here in Alberta. That's definately a money-saver for me, but is it a good pole? Any feedback about these poles would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, everyone! 🌸

I used to take classes at the Aradia in Vegas and liked their poles very much. But I don't recall them having removable poles though. In my personal opinion, my skin likes the brass Poledanzer poles better. Each person's body chemistry is different and will react differently on different metals depending on environmental factors as well as hormones. I know you've been debating what pole to get so I'll throw in my 2 cents: if possible, go to as many studios and clubs that have poles as you can. Play around & see which kind your skin responds to. I'd love to hear the results!
The website says that the poles are completely removable, but I think they are one-piece only, not multi-piece. You have to measure the height of your floor to ceiling and they cut the pole to be adjustable plus or minus 5 inches. Kind of like the Platinum Stages Superpole. Could you tell me in what way your skin reacted better with PoleDanzer's brass poles compared to Aradia's?
Sorry Eagle, didn't mean to imply I had a negative reaction to the Aradia poles! I just liked the way I'd stick to Poledanzer poles better. The Aradia poles were great but I remember it taking a while for them to warm up whereas on the Poledanzer, I could do stuff immediately. But maybe it had to do with the air temperatures in the different studios more than the poles themselves. One thing that does stay in my mind is that the teacher that introduced me to Poledanzer poles always praised their understanding of the spinning mechanism so if that's important to you, that might want to check it out.
Thank you so much for telling me your experiences with the two poles! If it wasn't the air temperature that made the difference, I wonder if it was the mirror finish on the Poledanzer poles? They definately look like they are more highly polished than the Aradia and the Platinum Stages brass poles. Both the stainless steel and the brass Poledanzers are really beautiful. Oh, and I'm glad you mentioned the spinning option! I just realized that the Aradia poles are static only (at least it looks that way). I'm sure that I won't be ready for the spinning option for quite some time, but I'd like to at least have it available for when I do want it. This is great! I'm definately narrowing down my choices of pole finish and companies that make them. 🥂

You really will want a spinning option at some point and since there is little difference in price pay the extra 😀 😁 😬
I definately will, Charley! Although it will take me some time to quit getting motion sick from just pirouetting and swooping too much on static! LOL 🤮 🤮

I used to hate spin, but once I was able to tolerate it....I must say it's grown on me a lot! It's fun and makes stuff look so cool!

I own an Aradia brass pole.. I got the “45” because I have small hands, their small poles are not 1.5’s although they advertise them as such, they are smaller, my pole is at about 40, it was not only mine, I met another girl who owns one and it’s the same, super small, this is good for some things but any thigh hold or knee hold hurts 3 times more, add that to being brass and sticky, it is hell on your skin, the 2inch poles are exactly 2 inches, so those are good, the thing with brass is you have to take really good care of it or it just starts to look ugly and stained. Aradia poles are also expensive, I got mine for more than the price of an Xpole when I didn’t know any better, lol, that is a little pricey for an static-only pole, I think you def. Should have a spin option, another thing is they are one piece, this might not be a problem if they are for a studio and you are not planning on moving them a lot.
Funny you should mention the size difference because after I read Dayanara's post, I can remember in the studio, they had installed a "45". I tried it once or twice. Everybody claimed it was easier for learning but I didn't care for it at all. It seemed really insubstantial--almost flimsy. I mean it was properly installed but it always felt like it could snap. I agree that it was a real killer on the inner thighs. I can totally believe that it might have been smaller than 45.

yep, it wont snap, I've had mine for over a year, but it's flexible, I have places to play on bigger and different finishes poles, so it's been ok , but I am ready to move on to an xpole now, when Amber Richard came here for workshops, she told me my pole is a 38, or really close to a 38, really small, def. NOT a 45 or 1.5 inches no matter what they tell you at Aradia. hahaha, so basically if you decide to buy an Aradia pole, make sure you get the standard 50mm.
Wow! Thanks for the information on the size discrepancies with the pole. If I do order from them -but I don't think I will; I'd rather have something spinny- I'll definately go with the standard 2" one. You're right, Sissybuns, moves look that much more impressive on a spinny pole! 😬
I go to Aradia Fitness in Edmonton, Alberta. I find their poles are WAY slipperier than my chrome X-Pole that I have at home. It makes no sense, because the brass is supposed to be grippier, but to me it's not. I don't know if it's because maybe they're worn out, or maybe it's the air conditioning or heating or something, I'm really not sure. I get so frustrated at class because I can't do anything because I'm constantly sliding down the pole. I don't have that problem at home, so I don't know what the difference is. I was originally looking at Aradia poles too, but they are WAY too expensive for what you get. I got a chrome X-Pole because it is both static and spinning and because I can pack it up and bring it over to my friends house, even if they don't have the same ceiling height that I have.
I've been doing loads more research on poles and think I will definately be going with a brass pole. I'll be choosing between Aradia and X-Pole when they come out with their brass. I'd definately prefer to buy locally (well, close to locally anyway) and it will save me a small fortune in shipping and customs charges. I've been watching videos of the Aradia poles and really like the look of them. The only problem is that sometime down the road I'll probably want a spinny option. So, I'm going to wait to see what X-Pole comes out with for their new brass pole and how much it would cost me to get one. And, if I decide to go with Aradia, my hubby says he can easily McGuyver my pole into a spinny-capable one. I'll keep you guys posted!
I just came across this while researching to buy a new pole. I think some people are getting confused. Aradia sells a 1.5" pole, which is exactly 38mm. X-POLE and PLATINUM STAGES sell a 1.75" pole, which is 45mm. Then, ALL of them also have the 2" or 50mm we all know. I think some people are getting confused because x-pole and platinum stages offer a 45mm, or 1.75", pole as their small size. The "small" Aradia pole is smaller than that! They're not lying -- it says on their site 1.5". It's the same 38mm used in Australia. Hope this helps. 🙂
