The stretchy PVC boots will tear very easily with pole. There have been a few people posting over the years who have had issues. Also they are super hot on your legs.

I read the old posts about stretchy boots but I can't tell if this pair is stretchy or not since it's side zip. Figure I'll ask around here in case some ladies bought the exact same pair....

I purchased a similar pair and wore them to class last week. I like that they are easy to put on, but they are hot and they took a bit of getting used to as I normally wear 6"ers with an ankle strap. I already scratched up the toes from floor work, but I still really like them and plan to wear them again. I own both of these boots - I prefer platform heels over stilettos. The side zip is easy - but you do have to "close" the laces if you don't want to lace them up each time. Oh, and I pole in them all the time - they are very comfy. However - the patent leather does tear and look a bit janky. I use nail polish to touch up the scuffs and damages. And I should note, I'm probably tough on these boots - lots of banging, kicking, and scuffing along my pole travels. LOL
I would stick with ankle boots. Once you begin more advanced tricks, knee boots get in the way. They slide down when ur trying to grip the pole , make ur legs sweat, and interfer with you maintaining your position on the pole. And as everyone has pointed out, they will tear and look rough after a few bumps and bruises.
::sigh:: boots. I LOVE the look, but yes as you get more advanced, it's super hard to pole. If they have tack, climbing is a breeze, but i find if i wear them to work at night, I'm pulling them off after ehhh one or two stage sets....hot, uncomfortable, but cute as heck and okie dokie for the first 15 mins though lol

I used to dance in thigh highs and never had an issue. they were hot temperature wise, but the club bbeing so cold ironed that out.If I had to pick one pair of boots it would be the calf high pleasers. I have had them in regular pleather and they were comfy...but the heel broke on me after about eight months. I have consideredbuyingthe shiny vinyl calf high ones, but I am finding the quality of pleasers vinyl has gone way down over the years. Ripping in three half hour pole sessions is not acceptable
