Another newbie! We're multiplying... ;) xo

Hi everyone! I just had my first pole lesson last night from an old friend (Azriel). I hadn't seen her for a couple years, but somehow ended up at her house, her on one pole and me on the other. She was the MOST AMAZING TEACHER, and has reallly made me excited about this...which is saying alot because the last time I exercized consistently was when I was boxing (only with the bag...hehe), which was 5 years ago...talk about a motivtional teacher!! She was full of excitement and "love of the sport", she was great about planning out the lesson while also being flexible making the session seem to flow so well, making me feel comfortable, making sure I was completely stretched out and warmed up, explaining to me as well as showing me the moves she was teaching me, and pointing out tiny details that made my learning speed up 200%! Since I'm new, So far, I have only had one lesson, but Azriel said it went really well. I felt more comfortable with the pole than I thought I would. I don't really understand the level of difficulties of things yet, but with Azriel's teaching methods, I was able to do a pole sit on my first try. It seemed so easy to just sit there without holding on, but Azriel was so excited that I could do it so quickly and didn't believe that I had never touched a pole before. What a commpliment! This is another great thing about her teaching...she is as enthusiastic as I am when I succeed at something. Thanks, Azriel, for bringing this into my life and introducing me to this website. I'm really psyched to start poling on a regular basis, even though my "voyage to the pole" is so far...but the teacher makes it worthwhile! 🙂 To all of my new "pole models" on studioveena,com: I hope to meet you all, as Azriel had such amazing things to say about you! You sound like an amazing group of people, and I am excited and looking forward to meeting you.
