The big day is fast approaching. Oct 23 will be here before we know it. The American Pole Fitness Championships, the 1st of its kind in US history will take place in New York. Workshops by its preeminent judges and champions will occur a day after the event. Is any VEENERS going to this comp ❓ I just reserved my tickets 🥂 and booked my workshop with ALLEGRA , KT COATES and stretch workshop with the ever so bendy Valentino brothers that sunday. 🤸 🤸 🤸 I am so excited as I have never been to New York and this will also be my first time going to a competition. 🤸 🤸 🤸 My husband and I will be driving from Toronto, Canada. 😛

so did me and my friends! if you see a 6' tall model with red hair (maybe 6'5" in shoes?), that's my friend. ill be the shorty asian girl next to her =)

And if you see a tall blond man also 6 feet, looking lost and out of place , that's my husband. I will also be the short asian woman next to him.

I'm so glad people are going to this competition! I don't post often, but I've been dying for someone to write about this. This is my birthday weekend and I bought tickets to the competition as a birthday gift to myself! I'm really excited to see Marlo perform! This will also be my first time seeing a competition live! I read that the dress is New York cocktail chic. I don't dress up much and I'm not from New York. Anyone have any advice for me? Would just a medium length, nice, on-the-fancy-side type of dress and heels work?

i live in manhattan (i teach at the same pole studio marlo does =) and i dont know anyone who has any idea what this means. i've never gone to a cocktail hour, lol. i would say that a dress and heels you'll be fine 😀 i think probably you'll see a sea of little black dresses.

Thank you!!! The website said that if you don't dress correctly, you won't get it. I'm sure they are exaggerating a little, but it made me nervous anyway. Thank you for your response. Oh! I found the website for the studio where Marlo (and you) teach. That's very exciting! I'm not sure I will be able to afford a workshop, so I was contemplating doing a class at Shockra if they have classes/spots available while I'm there. I live in Florida and will only be in New York Friday through Sunday. I'm not sure a drop in mixed level class will be offered on the weekend, but I have my fingers crossed.

i live in manhattan (i teach at the same pole studio marlo does Amyxshi, I Don't know manhattan at all 🤔 and will be staying at a hotel at queens that is close to a subway that will go into grand central station. What is the closes subway stop do I go to go to the ballroom theater where the competition is and what is the closes subway stop to go to the pole studios for the workshop that sunday ❓ . I DO NOT WANT TO BE LOST AND LATE FOR THESE EVENTS. Thanks in advance. 🫡

I'm planning to go to the comp too...but am nervous about being along my travel partner is a competitor (Skittles) and I know she will be busy with comp things...so am hoping to hook up with some local veeners or veenersl traveling in . Hate to be wondering around the city alone. And am still trying to get my head wrapped around staying in a Hostel havent booked it yet but looks like my only option right now.
