ok it doesn't look very pretty but I did it! I'm so excited :D now if I could only do the chopper.... I did it a couple of times and have not been able to do it again. Its very frustrating. I think it might be fear of hurting my back again.

Your chopper will come back. If you're hurting your back its because you are falling out of it instead of using your abs and coming out with control (exhale as you come out as well!). I find it's a lot safer to get into chopper and then slide down the pole in that position. It hurts a LOT less. Once you get more ab strength (which you do from doing air inverts... YEY!!! Congrats!!!) you can come out of it with control and hopefully without pain. I still slide down the pole cause it's not worth the pain. :)

I've been sliding down out of everything or going into crucifix first and then sliding down. I still can't get up there to the inverted v after the last time I hurt my back. Instead I go into basic invert and then get my legs in the v position. But ss u mentioned, the aerial inverts should help with the needed strength yay !
Sometimes you just need a rest. :) Hang in there.
