Bye bye pole??

I have been MIA from Veena since August, and I really miss you guys! ... we left our gorgeous apartment, got married, sold everything and started to transition into a one room rental, all preparing for a move to Hawaii Feb. 1st. So, I am torn... We have brought the chrome pole that I love to Los Angeles waiting to fly out, but I can't decide if I should try to sell it, take it with... It's going to be expensive! I've also gained 25 more lbs since I last posted, and I'm so out of shape the thought of spinning makes me cringe... So I need some help... keep the pole, or sell it?

Does the thought of even dancing make you cringe? You don't have to start spinning right away. And being out of shape could definitely be fixed by that lovely pole!

i think you should try and take some weeks to just do long floor stretches to get your body ready again,and when u get back on the pole slowly,then you will be sure to lose the xtra lbs in no time. then u will feel euphoria again :).....u might regret selling it ,and maybe end up buying a new one....make it a passion,and or hobby for ur self peace,its great meditation ya know........if u keep it i would love to watch your progress......

The pole has been the one place I can go and feel beautiful. 25 extra #'s, 50 extra #'s. To me the pole is about finding your inner beauty, exposing yourself, feeling vulnerable and all at the same time feeling strong. Is it really about the money of shipping it or is it about your feelings about yourself?

A huge part is the money, though I know it will be hard to get one of I change my mind in Hawaii. The other problem is that I really enjoyed dancing while I had mine up, but I was so busy that workout/strength building was the last thing on my list. So yeah, it has to do a lot with both- my fear of spending a TON to ship it out and then never getting any better :P

For what it's worth: I vote for keeping your pole and think of it as making an investment in yourself. Once you get to aHawaii you can say to yourself "gee, I spent a lot of money on this pole: purchasing it and getting it here, so I better use it." You don't have to go all out every time you have a few minutes to yourself. Just keep your hands on her every so often and things will come back to you quickly.

It's easy to forget how much you use the pole when it is in place full time. I thought I hadn't used mine for several weeks, but my partner pointed out I used it each time I went past it! It wouldn't be a full on session maybe just gripping it stretching while on the phone or trying to work out what I was going to do next. Yes it will cost money to ship, but as others have said you will probably then say to yourself, "this cost a lot to ship, better make it worth it!" I would put money on it that if you didn't take it with you, you will end up missing it and buying another one very quickly.......which will cost more than you are likely to get for this one if you sell it! Go on! Take it! X

MYTHVERMONT: You say you did enjoy it when you had it up. Please invest the money in YOURSELF and ship it. Remember that beautiful feeling you have when your dancing allow yourself that option when you're in HI. I agree, you will wind up buying another. This is your gift to you. Ship it.
