ok pole experts, who makes a 40mm pole? i really wud like one that screws in the ceiling, pressure mounted but doesnt screw to the floor, i dont want to ruin the wood floors. coating isnt an issue, i kno someone who cud powder coat it for me. my hands r very small, and my grip doesnt seem to be improving, maybe i need a skinnier pole. thanks!

you could always get a 38 1 piece from ps. They sell vaulted ceiling mounts, but they require bolts, not screws. The mount for an x just uses screws. You could probably powder coat a stainless.

Nope. X pole is the only one that makes a 40mm (translates to 1.57".) It's an odd size. A 38mm (actually 38.1mm) is a 1.5", a 45mm (it's actually more like 44.45mm) is a 1.75", and a 50mm (it's actually more like 50.8mm) is a 2". All the other pole companies go by the standard 1.5, 1.75, and 2 inch. X pole decided to get a little weird. They also have a 42mm in Australia.

No, but I tried one on Saturday. It was powder coated. I found it to be just fine. I didn't have any problems with the tricks I know. I was trying a bunch of different leg grips. I did the superman just fine and the gemini. The tammy was a little harder, but not too much.

Maybe over the years you will end up with a 50 as well. I can't decide if I want a 38 or 45 stainless.
oh mAn u bet not my hands r too small for a 50!! lol good luck deciding!! i am torn between another 45 and 38 now, since xpole is the only ones who make a 40 and im pretty sure i dont want an xpole
I'm not sure, but I think comps fluctuate between chrome and stainless, 45s and 50s.
