First up, go here: http://chouxlala.blogspot.com/2009/10/when-things-get-stressful.html
Yes, shameless self-promotion, but I wrote that article because the stuff in it works and is stuff I need to do more lol.
Basically you need to break it up. Try to pole for an hour 2 or 3 times a week and that way you'll at least get some done, even if you can't do a 3hr session every day. I'm at college and although I'm only in 3 days a week, I also have to work on my projects at home, I'm looking for a job, I'll be poling when my pole gets here, I'm going to be working on my driving license, my brand really needs some work in all kinds of ways (especially if I want to be able to call it a brand!), I do contortion training, I'd like to start running again and probably going to the gym, I have 3 cats, I do general work around my flat, I spend forever on my hair and nails, I go out for shopping and research, I have a boyfriend and group of friends who I generally see separately, and I'm my mum's carer/PA. Naturally, when I don't make the effort, I can't fit it all in. Just trying to do stuff doesn't work. But I got a whiteboard that I stick up on my wall, and a corkboard, and a diary, and a calendar - that way I can see what my days are looking like at a glance, arrange it in general on one organiser and in detail on another, and then I don't have to think about it for ages; I just look at what I wrote down before. It's about prioritising, figuring out how much time you have and how much you need for various things, and sticking to that. Find out what works for you - eg, I once tried cutting 4hrs out of my sleep a night, because I tend to sleep for 12hrs and figured I should go for the recommended 8... it didn't work at all! All that happened was I slept in and then felt like I'd lost 4hrs of my day - because anything I'd had planned for that morning, I'd missed, and wasn't getting it done. When I rehashed my plan to include all 12hrs of sleep, I got more stuff done. I felt more satisfied at the end of my day, and I slept better - meaning that in the end, I woke up earlier anyway!
You'll be surprised at how much you can fit into the day when you work out how to do it π when you can slot in a little bit here and there, you'll maintain your fitness level without having to lose too much time for other things. Then when the weekends and holidays come around, you can go back to it and you should feel just fine! Hope that helps π
