The challenge for February will be.....Dance in your street clothes! Poledanceromance had posted this suggestion, so thanks for that idea!! You can choose to dress up or dress down.... just wear whatever makes you feel GOOD! Its a great time to experiment more with movement rather than tricks. It's the month of LOVE so let's try another exercise in learning to love ourselves!! ❤️❤️

*squee!* Thanks for choosing my suggestion! I've been reading updates from so many of my fellow members about struggling with our identity as dancers--I know I struggle with it. So why not start answering that question by bringing our everyday selves to the pole? Some of us have alter-egos and personas for pole, and I think that's great. But all those personas come from inside us, and it's a part of who we are. Maybe the "persona" can learn something by wearing street clothes, and maybe we can learn something by having that persona in our street clothes. I believe neither of those sides of us should be limited from influencing us all the time! I'm so excited to see everyone's videos!

I might actually do this challenge. But no inverts in jeans!!
You'd be surprised at what you can do in jeans. :) I'm looking forward to this one!

I am looking forward to seeing what everyone does in jeans. I can not do much. So, it has to be jeans??? I am unclear as what is classified as street clothes.

It says, you can dress up or down, in whatever makes you feel good.
Luvlee, street clothes are what you throw on to go out shopping or to work, not the fancy stuff you wear to go out dancing all night.
Yeah like the clothes you would wear on any given average day. Just not fitness wear...the clothes in your closet that you wouldn't be wearing anywhere you were going to be poling. Something you think is a cool outfit in your everyday wardrobe. Could even be a challenge to do spontaneously on a day you feel like you look great! And we'll all have to adjust what we do for what we're wearing. If your go-to move is a knee hold and your go-to outfit is jeans, that's part of the challenge!

Well, I had about 20 minutes to myself to pole today, and I did the challenge! It was fun. Thanks for the idea, PDR. :)

Yay! I love this challenge idea. I've become increasingly comfortable why my true self over the last several years so I kind of see this as symbolizing that :)
