'Ello my name is China. Pole Dancing has caught my attention for quite a while. Would love to learn more moves and so on. I see Pole Dancing as a great way to get back in shape. No pole just yet, working on stretching and flexibility first. Then on my merry way to the pole . Love to meet new people, so please don't be shy to/and say ello to me. Graciez (:

You'll thank yourself for working out before you go into it. I really didn't do as much as I should have before I got the pole, so I'm working on strength and flexibility and EVERYTHING all at once. Here's a great youtube vid someone on this site pointed me to that's a great place to start working on the strength: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1z3K3hIFmPs There's also a thread in this forum on getting the splits as well as a daily stretching thread, both of which I found very helpful. Hey, Welcome to the site! It's a very good idea to work on your strength and flexibility before you start to pole but it's also something you learn as you go along. I have been pole dancing since June and I think some strengths can only come from practise on the pole! Also, as poledanceromance says go and check out the stretching and splits threads in Health and Fitness - they are really good for advice etc 🙂 -x-
