I have entered a few ameature contests before & never will again so I wouldn’t recommend it either because large majority of those ameature nights are fixed contests…they are usually strippers from other clubs or house dancers who enter the contest & win. Ameatures don’t have a true shot at winning because of that set up.

Steph has a good idea about finding a pole studio & attending open pole a couple times a month or you could find a local pole buddy to pole jam with. Polexia.com forum has a pole pals thread where you can post that you are looking for a pole buddy in your area. Also Skype jams with ladies here are alot if fun and great motivation as well 🙂
