i was wondering if regular chalk used by weight lifters will damage a chrome X Pole?

I think I’ve heard of people using chalk, as well as liquid chalk, so I would imagine it’s safe on the pole!

lol  you have a point bbyblue.  I did notice tonight after using Dry Hands that I had chalk marks on my calfs and tops of my feet lol  It wasn't like fly away chalk but it was certainly there.  Doesn't usually happen lol

I have a few friends who competed/performed recently and had some amazing routines, but unfortunately on video and camera, they looked like Casper the Friendly Ghost all covered in chalky powder LOLOL

In my experience iTac is no good for the hands. It is a beeswax based product, so the beeswax will melt due to how hot the hands can get and cause slippiness. It’s great for body stick but even as I apply it on the body I use the back of my knuckles so as not to get it on my hands. Tite Grip is my favorite. I have the new formula. I use a few layers. I begin applying a half hour before activity, then right before, and during if I need it. Before a performance where nerves are causing extra sweat, I’ll use up to 10 layers in the time leading up to performance (and that still didn’t stop me from wiping my butt at the competition, ugh, habit). I would recommend trying Tite Grip to curb sweat, and Mighty Grip as a stick aid.

I have been using Zoraya’s gripgloves, but now the weather in Perth is warming up, I am finding that my hands get sweaty inside the gloves so I end up slipping. Am going to try out various products (tite grip, dry hands, itac, shave cream, etc to see what works best.

Try a small amount of Mighty Grip on the palms of your hands before you wear the gloves. This will keep the gloves from sliding against the skin of the hands. I am quite sure other grip aids can work also.

Hi, I'm another Dirty Girl Poletice fan! I picked up a bottle from Summer at the Pole Expo and I'm so glad I did. I think I've tried everything except the vinegar because ewww I don't think I can handle the smell 😛 I have hyperhydrosis and I live in super humid Hawaii which makes both me and the pole sweat! I used it last night in a 4 hour pole jam with my friends and I was able to keep up. I used it first then layered Tite Grip on top. Not perfect of course but  so far it's the best combination I've ever tried. Next time I'll try it with Mighty Grip on top. I think it will go well too. Will keep you updated.

    This thread is awesome!!!

I learnt a thing or two about Dirty Girl Poletice and what you guys like to do with grip aids! Will definitely be tempted to buy a bottle of DGP now. ^_^

    Thanks for sharing everyone!!!
