ladies! Since there have been many discussions about the differences in the poles, yesterday I took some pics of the three pole types for everyone to look at.

    https://www.studioveena.com/photos/view_album/50252dd7-6c34-429c-854c-5d6a0ac37250My observations on the differences:

PS is brass is by far the grippiest for me (too grippy a lot of the time.) It is a high shine finish.

Though I didn't get to play on it, my impressions of the x pole brass are that is is not as grippy as the PS brass, but in my case that is probably a really good thing, though not for girls who have a hard time sticking to poles. It has a slidey feel to it, which is nice. It does have a more matte /dulled look that the other two finishes. It is polished, but the brushed lines dull it a bit and give it that glide. It can be thought of as a brushed polish rather than a full on brushed or polished finish (if that makes sense.) Hopefully I will get to go over to Witchess's house and try it out (my ceiling was too high for her pole.)

The TG is very shiney. It has decent grip for me, but I can stick to almost any finish (chrome is too grippy sometimes.) It photographs really weirdly though. It really is yellow, I swear.

I hope this hels answer any questions you guys have. Remember, how I react to a pole may not be how you react!

    Happy poling ladies! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

The xpole brass is amazing to work with if you live in the right climate. I could not use my Brass xpole when I lived in the Midwest during the fall, spring or winter my pole space was too cold (skin didn't warm up enough to sweat). Here is Vegas my pole space is warmer and I myself, sweat more (I don't have cold skin and because I do sweat my skin isn't dry) so I really love my x pole brass!!

The Titanium xpole has been the most versatile finish, I can use this pole in ANY climate and it grips so very well! Its the pole I record the lessons on because it doesn't require "warm up" time for me to grip. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

TG has more grip and less slip than Chrome.

Yeah, it all comes down to climate and body chemistry. I may not react to my brass in CA the same way I do here. Same with any other finish. I do want to play on the x brass to see if I am correct in that it will have a good amount of give to it in regard to skin (where my PS brass just grabs my skin and won't let go!) Hahaha!

Yeah my brass here is grippy but in a smooth way, not rip your skin off way lol

X-Pole spends a lot of time trying to improve pole surface finishes. Skin types, pole temperature, clenlinessof the pole and other factors all effect grip. Unfortunately there is no one definitive grip that suits all so it is always best to find a school or similar so you can try out the different finishes.

It the UK we are just putting the final touhes to our North London development studio where everyone is welcome to come and test pole finishes, types, diameters etc. There will be 8x 4m (13') and 6x 3m  (10')  plus other apparatus at the studio to try and test. Pictures will be posted by the end of this month.

Oh wow a place to try out the X poles would be great.  I've got a 50mm chrome and 45mm chrome, wonder about the 40mm and wouild love to try it first .  Thats a brilliant idea X pole  🙂

Anyone who can get to the studio will be welcome. We have a 4m (13') 40mm  pole up already.  Please contact the UK office (+44 (0) 1707 665933 and advise your interest and when it is ready to go we can let you now when to visit. Bring some freinds and make a day of it!

All the Poles are on Poleaway systems so can be removed in minutes and there will also be Hoop, Silks, Fly Yoga etc etc. to try.
