    Hi Veena,

Thank you SO much for all your content, it has helped me immensely, and most important I feel much more safe when doing pole work. I realize though I have a problem and I can’t find the answer to it. I think when I invert and go into inverted crucifix or any move for that matter, my outside leg is making contact with the front of the pole and my inside leg is on the back of the pole. My points of contact feel strong and stable, but I do t think this is right. Idk why I’m struggling with leg position so much, and I’ve tried doing both, but for some reason the outside leg in front “feels” more intuitive. It feels so awkward the other way, like I really have to think hard lol.

Even in the “wrong leg” position I’m still squeezing with my shin/calf/ankle and get a great hold. How can I fix this unfortunate habit I’ve created? TYIA!!

    Tara

    You’re so welcome!

Have you been working through a program if so which one?

Learning how to change a movement pattern takes time. It’s not going to “hurt” you to invert that way, but it can make some transitions less smooth. My best suggestion is to work with the 30-day Invert program as this will provide drills you’ll work on to insure you’re using the correct leg to lead. Even if you already have an invert, it will help you build strength.

If you’d like me to take a look feel free to use the “ask veena” button and upload a video to me. Or you can upload right here in this thread 🙂
