I’m a very new beginner, and am recovering from surgery but I was wondering when most dancers purchase their heels.

I wanted to get a boot to help stabilize my ankles and Pleasers had a pair on sale, hence my question.

Is this something I’ll need in the next six months or is it something I may never need.

Thanks for your time and many blessings to you all.

Hello! I got mine maybe a year in, but if you feel like you want to try them out, I see no reason why you can’t. I got Pleaser ankle boots because I wanted the ankle support until I got used to dancing in very tall heels. Building ankle and foot strength and mobility is important. There’s finesse involved with dancing in heels that I’m still learning about–Veena’s heels program is great for that. I only just bought strappy sandal heels from Hella Heels and I’m being very cautious with them until I’m used to them.

I got 7 inch heels, though there are varying opinions out there about what heel height to start with. I hope this helps!

You don’t have to wear heels or boots, it’s only required if you’re interested in the “How to dance in heels” program or other heel type pole work.

If you like the look of the boot that are on sale snag them now if you know you’re interested in dancing with heels. If you’re not sure you can always wait.

I suggest always learning new pole skills without heels first.
