My x pole started warping within 9 months of use and started thunking on spin mode. Others have had that same thing happen with their 50mm x's, but not the 45's. My PS brass came slightly curved, but it hasn't gotten worse, and it isn't affecting spin mode. One woman did bend her 38mm brass pretty badly. The brass poles have thicker walls than the other poles because of the softness of the metal, and it gets thicker the smaller in diameter you go.

lil mynx will ship for 40! also i am thinking of getting an 8 footer for the family room this time but the ceilings there are pointed if that makes sense, like the point of a house both slightly slanted. i am hoping my husband can figure somethn out an 8 ft pole wud b wonderful!!

If the pole is under 10 feet it shouldn't be $200 in shipping. It should be around $50. Who told you it was $200?! That's not what they told me…

i put an order in online for a brass 83 inch pole and shipping was 200 and that was the lowest!

i probably should call to double check, but im pretty sure im gettn lil mynx because what i like about theirs is it screws in the ceiling, is pressure mounted, and doesnt need screwed in to the floor and if i put on in the living room, i dont want to drill thru the floating wood floors

Yeah, call PS and ask cuz that doesn't sound right. The fully removable poles don't need to be screwed into the ground. Were you looking at the permanent poles??? The removable poles have a silicone base and ceiling plate. Look at the pix on my profile of my PS pole. I took pictures of the top and base.

i kno i cud not believe 200! thats what it says on the site, i really wud like something that at least screws in the ceiling, i just feel better about that versus and tension only. kinda bummed cuz i wanted to try a PS brass, maybe someday.

Call them! It CANNOT be $200 for a standard height. I JUST talked to janice recently and she told me the higher end for an 8' pole is $50.

The pole dancing studio I go to has brass poles.  They come in 2 different sizes.  They have a 2 inch and a 1.5 inch.  The 1.5 inch ones are much smaller than anything I've ever really seen for poles and they tend to be flexible and have a slight bend to it.  When people loop around those poles you can see it flex and bend…  It scares me and I worry about it falling apart or something.  Some of the 1.5 inch poles are warped, it like bows near the top.  Also, brass poles are pretty sticky, which is great and everything…  But when I get really warm, parts of my body stick to the pole when it really shouldn't and that just really sucks cause you might do something and next thing you know your butt is sticking to the pole and you got yourself a  butt rest.

My ceiling is just like yours!  So I totally understand.  acutally I think we may have the same ceiling height too!  The PS adapter should help.  Also brass is an addtional $100/pole for PS.  Im looking forward to installing mine in my living room!

My xpole is slightly bent too. I have had it for almost 4 years though. With all I do I kindle expected it. We just noticed it really last night when we took it down to clean and re level. So fat it doesn’t seem to be causing any problems.

After mastering a Superman to Gemini combo last week, my husband remarked "Your pole looks bent", not "Well done" or "Great moves" or anything like that!! I've had it 4 years and until recently have always tended to invert from the same angle. Maybe if I start using the other side a bit more it will even out?
