It is a fetish ball, and quite tame compared to the one that is held in Columbus every year. The cool thing about the fetish crowd is that they openly accept burlesque and pole and routinely have opportunities to perform on stage.

I like the shock factor of it… I think people expected them to be like a Mina and Nadia or Enchanted just because they announced they were doing a double routine.. I personally would have liked to have seen more pole tricks too.. BUT, That’s not their thing..
I loved the pole kiss… But it was kind of a turn off because the audience didn’t react well… Who knows, maybe the audience was just a bunch of prudes….
Just my humble opinion.. I’ve seen WAYYYYY MORE risqué things at burlesque and cirque shows in my area…..

Not that the audience didn’t react well… But I expected more of an applause, I guess

To be honest I thought it took away from the performance. Sure, shock factor can be interesting but, at the same time these women are class A pole artists and a girl on girl “shock” kiss just isn’t necessary.

My husband was actually unpleasantly shocked. I had turned away and was doing something for a second and heard “What?! They’re kissing!” I was like “Huh? Oh… okay that’s weird.” It turned him off, and I was kind of embarrassed.

Plus I think that anyone who may ignorantly label pole dance as sleaze, may not change their mind if that’s the first performance they witness :p

Really? I thought it was fun with or without the kiss. I liked their energy, and it was fun seeing some synchronized pole moves. A little doubles would have been the cherry on top yeah, but for a short cameo piece I appreciated it for what it was. As for shock factor, I guess two women kissing really just isn’t that shocking to me.
