Love the list, and will add one more…I am a nurse and work at a hospital. I do not know how many here are RN's, but the IV poles are extremelly atractive to me and every time I have the opportunity and I am ALONE! I try to move around them humming a song in my mind…Is that sick? Please tell me that some one else does it too.

Yeah, nurse here too…and you are not alone…my co-workers love it when I am setting up a patient room and I say "I'm just gonna grab a pole"…and they say…"Bring is STRAIGHT to the room"..lol

So,  no, you are not alonehttps://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

You know you're a pole dancer when your hands are so dry the tops of them are cracked and bleeding but you refuse to put lotion on because it will make the pole slippery.

I have only been poling for a bit but I already do most of these…LOL  the one about your child in school with the fireman pole…they haven't called but I am glad my grandson only has a few more of weeks of school. He is so excited now that he can do 4 or 5 different spins…but he says he told the teacher his nana's pole spins at home.. geez.  I just smile when I go to the school on Fridays sharing time time with the kids. I think they probably think..nah she's too old to be doing that anyway must be something else.

I guess if he starts inverting this summer …. well I might have to buy anoter pole. 😉

I know this is old, but I got a few new ones:

You know you're a pole dancer if you try to do the splits in the changing room when trying on shorts to test whether they are pole safe… and hope that no one accidentally walks into the room.

You know you're a pole dancer when you try to climb the heating tube in the lady's room at work … just to try out how the diameter feels.

You know you're a pole dancer with some strength if you actually manage to climb that tube!

You know you're a pole dancer with a small ceiling at home if after one climb you get scared of the height and jump down.

You know you're a pole dancer if every time you meet the heating tube in the lady's room at work you silently greet it like an old friend.

You know you're a pole dancer when you know you have pole kisses AND it isn't even something "dirty" lol

Lol, I didn't even start pole dancing yet but I already do some of these! 😀 Oh and… "you walk past your husband in platform heeled black boots a bra and teeny shorts and he glances at you and then goes back to whatever he was doing." I don't want that! 😀

If you've ever told people you go to "dance fitness" or "aerial yoga" classes to describe pole. (Haha, I have actually been to real aerial yoga classes and it's not similar at all… but it still sounds like a decent description and is closer to the truth than what people commonly envision when they hear "pole dancing".)

If you like to practice floorwork when you are bored.

If you have ever wished you could find a place for a stretch break while you are out and about or at work.

If you isolate and roll your chest, and stomach, and booty while you are sitting in your chair at work with no one around. 😉

If you close your eyes and dance in your head when you hear the right music.

If your boyfriend thinks your flexibility is hot.

If you have more pole videos favorited on YouTube than any others.

If you have wondered if there are any movements you could incorporate into other dances, or if you have figured out how to incorporate movements from yoga or other dances.

    Heh, heh…

If your boyfriend is motivated to start working out again because of the muscle tone you are getting. OH yeah!

maurer rose, if people that I don't know very well ask what sport I do I usually call it either gymnastics or acrobatics https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif I don't want to have to explain over and over again how pole dancing is not the same as stripping …

(and my secret place for a stretch break is – the lady's room at work or university https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif  I use the closed toilet for supporting my foot in hamstring stretches and the wall for quad stretches ….  )

You have your pole bag in your car at all times (shoes, towel, dry hands). You call your pole class “Vertical Dance”. You go to the gym and all you think about while working out is, “Will this help me nail that move.”
