  • Xpole Stage Lite Questions!

Posted by beesquish4847 on April 25, 2014 at 9:13 pm

    Hi everybody,

I am looking to buy an Xpole Stage lite and my ceiling is not 10 feet tall ( as most peoples are not). A regular xpole is not an option for me as I move often and I cant always be sure that my pole will fit/ the ceiling will be right for it. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with these poles? Is it possible to get an extension to make “B pole” shorter so it fits in rooms with shorter ceilings? Any information is appreciated! I am also ordering from Xpole Canada so if anyone has any insight that would be great 🙂

If you are going to put it inside is there a reason you wouldn’t use a standard X-Pert X-Pole?

Contact x- pole and ask them to be sure. But I believe you can either order the B pole to your specifications or you can saw the standard B pole yourself at home. Apparently it is easy to cut it down with a hack saw and file. Then you just replace the end cap onto the sawed edge. Just call them and ask or email them directly. They also have video instruction on how to shorten the pole yourself. I have an xstage lite for similar reasons.

They’ll sell you a shorter B pole. I have almost 9ft ceilings so I had to get a shorter pole. I can’t remember how much it was but I have both B poles so now I can have the full height outside and still set it up inside 🙂

That is a good idea aviva, order an extra pole so you will always have the longer pole.

    2 things:

The xpole xpert and sport are designed so that all you need are the correct extensions and it can fit a TON of ceiling heights. It is much more affordable to do that, even if you had to buy several extensions. It’s also better for long term and frequent use.

yes, the xsl pole can be made shorter. You just need to buy the correct extensions to make it shorter, which is the same case with the floor to ceiling poles, so I still say you’re better off with an xpert.

Check in the suspended ceilings? Can you move the panel to see if there are joists in there? There usually are, and it would make an xpert still a good option.

I bought my xsl second hand for $495 (if you keep an eye out, you may periodically see people selling theirs on here.) I paid about $200 after that to get a complete 40mm pole insert + shorter extension (since it came with a 50 and I hate 50s.)

Standard XSL cost will run about $1,000 with shipping.

Yeah, I have done alot of research and I think the XSL is the best for me because I also like to bring mine outside and exercise in the summer as well as transport it anywhere I want. Since im ordering it online i just cant seem to figure out which extensions are the right ones as it seems that the ones on Xpole are all for the Xsport or the xpert

All of the extensions fit the XSL. You just need to be sure you order the right diameter.

    Hey There!

Definitely call us with any questions- we can help you over the phone or by email: info@xpoleus.com
You can use any X-Pert/Sport ole extensions with the X-Stage pole to make it shorter to fit a shorter ceiling height. You can also cut the Main B pole- but many prefer just to use a shorter extension in place of the Main B.

It sounds like an X-Pert pole would work just great for you as well! They are fully portable/removable, no drilling required unless you are over 12ft.

In Canada we ship from our Canadian warehouse.

Call us if you have questions. Thanks!

I had the same problem as you. I just got my X-Stage Lite last month and I have a 7’4″ ceiling(!) I have a suspended ceiling and I’m not in a situation where I can remove panels to find a joint for a normal pole, so that’s why I got the XSL.

If you choose the XSL, it is best to call X-Pole so they can figure out the extension you need. The extension they estimated I needed wasn’t available online, so I bought the closest size up and had it cut. I purchased the whole set and the extension, that way I could take my pole outdoors as its intended 10 feet, but still work indoors with the extension.

I paid over $1000 for the pole and I will say, you REALLY really need over 5’3″ of space for the pole. My pole just BARELY fits into the space I measured out, which was the bare minimum.

For the best help, you oughta just call X-Pole 🙂
