X pole ceiling mount—LOVE!
Posted by Lyme Lyte on January 16, 2014 at 11:11 amGot my pole up using the ceiling mount. Just a shout out to say how much I LOVE that thing! Makes putting up and down the pole much easier and it is SUPER SOLID! I never trusted the dome, had slippage a few times but this is super secure. Now to get used to chrome…. lol

Well, get one Chem….worth every penny (or dollar I should say).
-
how much is the mount? Right now with apartment living I’m stuck with the dome, but I would invest for the future!
-
I am sure Chem can like the mounts for the Xpert and Sports. I think the Xpert was $80 and not sure on the sport….but that was a lot cheaper I remember…..
-
I will have to look! I think I have the xpert xpole? 45mm? I need to check my bag
-
Rainbowstars, could you buy the little insert for an xpert and then the xpert ceiling mount? I’m not sure if it might rotate a little because of the way it locks at the bottom though?
-
There are a permanent ceiling mounts for a Sport poles.
Please see
https://www.x-pole.co.uk/workshops-xpole/mounts-and-fixing/chrome-ceiling-mounts
You will see there is also a vaulted mount
Currently they are produced in 45 and 50mm sizes but we are adding the 40mm shortly.

My ceilings didnt do well with the LM mount….I think I have flimsy ceilings or something. The xpole mount is different tho Im guessing?
-
@Legsfordays…. Are you in a stud? Studs are not flimsy… Double check for safety 🙂
-
The guy used a stud finder and saw dust floated down after he drilled. It was great for a while but the mount started loosening..twice so I tightened it. Something told me to take the mount down an the whole imprint of the mount was on my celing and it was getting deeper. Had to take it all down andit’s under my bed now.Ended up getting a stage pole. I miss my LM.
-
To make the LM mount more secure, take a 2×4 and drill it in along the stud, then install the mount through the wood. That had worked for others
-
I think you should try the drill legs! Then you can put your Lil minx to use and have 2 poles! I think you can get a longer screw at hardware store too!
-
-
FYI the other mount you see is my X pole vaulted ceiling mount. 🙂
-
Veena,
How exactly did u make that wood piece and how is it held into place? -
My husband used a hole saw attached to a drill, however, you don’t have to make it round, it could just be a square piece of wood. It’s not attached by anything, only the lil mynx screw runs though it. 🙂
-
Yes the other mount shown is the xpole vaulted mount 😊
-
If your having trouble with a lil mynx ceiling mount call them. My first mount was spinning around & chewing up the Sheetrock. Randy made me a new mount with extra screws & it’s been perfect ever since
-
X Pole- when are you adding the 40mm mounts? This was 4 months ago and still no sign : (
-
The vaulted mounts for 40mm are available already.
The design from the photos on SV has changed to a Ball Mount. This allows the pole to flex in all directions.
The latest ball mount, standard and vaulted, works with both 40 and 45mm poles even though it has a 45mm number.
It is only the top insert for each size that is different.
Please advise where you are located.
Best to call your local office!!

Hi, I am about to order my first pole and vualt mount on monday, from xpole US, the thing is that the beams that I have in my cieling are 2in by 4 in, and the mount is 4in by 7in, the beams are put perpendicular (not horizontal) so the beams are to thin (2in) when the mount is 4 in., I am not sure how to solve this pproblem, specially because the screws of the new mounts are on the edges of it.
Maybe I can screw a bigger piece of wood to the beam and screw the mount to it?
I dont have acces to that area through the attic so I have to do any reinforcment on the inside of the house.
I would really appreciate any advice because I am going crazy trying to find a solution to this
