I received an x-stage lite for Christmas yesterday – wooo. I haven't gotten it up yet, or used one before – does anyone have experience with the x-stage? How does doing moves compare, when the top of the pole isn't fixed? How much room do I need, and can I use it outside?

    Merry Christmas everyone 🙂

    Congrats!!

The only thing that has ever freaked me out a little on stage poles is reverse grab.  This is the only move where I have really made the pole wobble.  About the only other thing you will not be able to do is a death lay or anything that requires the ceiling (walking, splits, etc).  And yes, you can use it outdoors but I will warn that both the pole and the stage get very warm in the sun.

I finally got the x-stage up 😀 It's really fantastic, only wobbles a little, and because the stage is lovely and smooth, and close-ish to the ground floor work is a breeze. My pole space is tiny though, so until I rearrange stuff there's not much space to do wider spins/moves. Maybe I'll give it a go outside when it's not so warm 🙂

Reverse grab freaked me out at first too…but when you get use to it you feel like you can really fly!!!

As Pam said it gets pretty hot out in the sun so be careful…but….it's also a lot of fun outside. We have taken it to the campground and got a lot of positive reactions with people coming by to see it and try it out.

Taking it to a campground sounds like fun… we had a family bbq yesterday and the whole family was giving it a go. My 6 year old cousin was delighted that he got to play fireman and his sister was doing moves that took me weeks straight off the bat 🙂 I'm really excited to be able to practice at home hehe :3
