  • Workout schedule?!

    Hello, I’m fairly new to pole dancing and I also do yoga and hooping. How often are you supposed to be practicing pole or hoop? I’m finding it very hard to incorporate all 3 plus strengthening exercises into a weekly schedule.

    I work out every day but I try to alternative workouts. I lift weights, bike, and do aerial silks and pole. I primarily do lower body for weights,so I will double up an aerial session and a weight session on the same day. But I try to skip aerial days. So if I pole Monday, I don’t do silks until Wednesday.

    I usually hoop daily or use hooping as my warm up for pole dance. Pole dance is far more strenuous on the body then hooping so when you’re beginning stay with 3 times a week at the most, leaving a day of rest between the pole sessions. Resting allows muscle to recover and grow. If you are taking the lessons here you may want to try the 30 day take off program, it will give you a guideline to follow including when to stretch, strengthen, work on pole work. Add in hooping where ever you like!
