One of my teachers was telling me that it all deepens, the smaller poles are good for inverts and spins, but some peole feel that when it comes to climbing 5o's are good. The smaller ones are preffered because people feel more secure on it. You know less metal in your creases. lol

I was thinking of getting a 45 or 38mm PS. I love hand grip on 45, curious in a good way about 38. I’ve never tried any thigh grip or kneepit grip on the 45. (visiting another studio).
But at times I wonder SS or Brass.
I’m a sweaty girl and SS is sometimes a nightmare sometimes a dream. Brass is optional for me, due to grip only perks (all seasons I like brass when attempting/ learning a spin, sit, climb, grip. But spinning on brass (50) in studio -when I know the spin- no fun.
So those with PS 45 or 38; brass or SS why? Sweaty body & hands – always or heat seasons? -
I like both for different reasons. Brass can be too gripyy for me though, while stainless I slide way more on. It redally comes down to what you want out of your pole.

I started off on a 50mm that was a non spinning, slide together two pieces pole. the kind you can get at adult stores. It was super hard for me to master the tricks or be sexy. Im only between 4ft 11 and 5ft. cant remember heigth horrible I know. i have small hands, so i got myself a 45mm xpole. The threaded one and I love it. I have done so many more tricks and I can actually do the moves with grace and not look akward. lol. Best pole ever.

My studio has got 38mm brass, and I have 40mm chrome at home. Imo, I feel the size difference is so small that it's negligible.
I'm curious to try a 45 just to see if I have an easier time with my thigh grip, but I really love the skinny poles. The grip is amazing and I don't think I could stand a thicker width.
I used to like the chrome better cos I kept getting stuck mid spin on brass, but now that we've switched to spinning mode in class, I'm finding it too slippery. If I got another pole, I'd probably like a skinny TG (not that you can buy that :P)
