• What’s on your Christmas wishlist?

Posted by Brynne on November 14, 2012 at 2:42 am

1. "All I want for Christmas is my right front splits…" But seriously. They will be mine.

2. My kingdom for a high density foam roller! Before I started using them frequently I settled on a cheap one from Target. Now it's deformed from use and has too much give. I'd like to think that my back muscles have gotten so huge that I crushed it. 😉

3. What better way to improve as an aerialist than to invest in a good doorway pull-up bar? Now that I'm going to be starting duo trapeze, I really need to work on my ab strength when I'm hanging with straight arms – the pole makes it too easy to cheat!

4. I also have my eye on a pair of shiny black leggings that will stick to the pole. Mmm yessss….

5. And of course, I could ALWAYS use more Tite Grip and Prince Grip…

What's on your wishlist?

All I want for Christmas is…https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_santa.gif

1. A Lululemon/Onzie sports bra but that looks unlikely now 🙁 I'd love some more shorts too from either of those companies. Or Mika yogawear! Oh the list is endless…

2. Those gorgeous neon pink Pleasers (but 6 inch not sure I could handle the 7 inchers ;-p)

3. (I'm with you on this one Brynne) a pull up bar! I've never been able to do a traditional pull up (even when I was rock climbing for 4-6 hours a week) and for some reason I feel like I want to be able to lol

4. I'd love a new pole but that really is very highly unlikely to happen, and I don't have the room for it lol!

zoey – jagerstore.co.uk ship Pleaser shoes from within the UK and their prices are some of the most reasonable I've seen, everythingpoledancing.com also sells shoes and a few items of pole clothing too.

– I would love a few pole DVDs

– To start working on my splits (I never seem to make the time)

– More Mika Yoga Wear (my butt looks great in the Mikela’s)

– A bigger practice space

1. A bendier back (though it's probably not going to happen because I HATE all back flexy exercises)

2. Front splits (which is also not going to happen because I've been working at it for a year and am no where near getting it!)

3. A new stainless steel pole!!! (which is, sadly not going to happen either cause I can't afford a new pole!)

That's ok, I can always hope and wish!

Brynne, these shinny black pole sticking leggings intrigue me. Can you provide details?

A bendier back is definitely on my Christmas wishlist. Need to start working on it pronto!

– I want a car that doesn’t break every three months. I’ve paid $5000 since March in repairs, and I still don’t have a car. It’s been three weeks.
– a 45 brass x-pole. Let me know if you need someone to take one off your hands for free :p
– a free gift that I would like better than both of those is the people living with me to gtfo. They’re gotten way too comfortable, expecting me to do their laundry when they don’t even pay rent.

There are so many things I would like for Christmas but alas, we are not doing Christmas gifts at all this year. We are saving for a house. You would not even believe the cash we blow for Christmas. It will be a nice relaxing change. I live the season for what it is. I mean we all like gifts but it gets crazy too and there is always next year that will creep up on us again. I hope you ladies get all your wishes!!!

1. An internship/work-study thing at a pole studio, for the experience and to be in the sacred space that is the studio more often :3

2. My Little Pony toys that I can clip onto my bag and bring with me wherever I go WITHOUT falling off and getting lost while I run to catch my train

3. Privates!! I can't decide who I want privates with, but I have a few songs I would love to dance to and need some help with the choreography.

4. More fun pole wear and costumes! I'd like a gingerbread girl costume, sexy/slutty Santa.

I'd also like my bodybinds to be more acceptable to wear in public, but I know not to ask for too much.

– strength wrist wraps

– more heels

– nice performance pole clothes that fit me

– Millie Robson pole photographer's calendar (http://www.millierobson.com/album/magicatmidnightcalendar?p=1&s=UA-6469470-1)

– a deserved pay rise at work so I can do mini trips around Europe and take private classes with some of my pole idols (LOLO <3)

I have so many of the same wishes!

~ Definitely more back flexibility. I have too much degeneration and sublaxations to ever hope for better!

~ 45mm Brass Xpert X-Pole

~ Thigh High, patent leather boots

~ Middle splits – I have never, ever attempted them

~ For my sister to get a clue and finally divorce the buttmunch she's married to

~ For my Dad's knee infection to clear up enough for him to be able to keep his leg

I love the idea of the sticky leggings and the pull-up bar, and I say the more shoes the better! Hohoho!!

For christmas, all I'm asking for from other people is… well, Money. I have many expensive things that I would like, and I'd prefer not to pressure people into spending more than they are comfortable, so I am asking for money so I can pool it together and get a big thing, rather than a bunch of little things! Also, what with my travelling coming up, if I have money I can stick into that, I would be happy!

Otherwise, things I'd like to ask from myself?

– The dedication to pole more often. Five times a week. Stretch on my off days. Seriously, it's all set down, self, you just have to make it happen!

– Find some way to make stretching enjoyable. That way, I could give me the splits!

– More music to enjoy. This is an ongoing, forever-request.

– WRITE THE DAMN BOOK. Jeez, I've been sitting on it for YEARS. Just write it!!

Yep, that's about it. Everything else I would ask for is a variation on dedication, either to pole, or to writing, or to whatever else. 🙂

@Runemist Do you have a pen pal? When I was struggling with my book me and my friend Jess started writting to eachother. We would share one chapter with eachother a week, critique, and send it back. It really motivated me to write since I knew someone was watching. When I got bored with my book(s) I would just write short stories, just to keep myself interested in writing.

I'm always looking for story buddies if you're interested :3

CapFeb- I actually have a friend in town who I share my love of writing with- we're both Fantasy writers, and it can get a little difficult to relate to other people when half your head is off buidling huge, epic worlds with magic and gods and strange sentient creatures!
However, if you like, we could also share the writing! I don't think I would mind having more people to share with 🙂

Also, Darling Dearest, if you find those My little pony toys you're talking about… Tell me! I love MLP!!

McDonald’s gave out MLP toys with little clips that would attach onto your bag. I had Fluttershy but I lost it after it got caught somewhere and ripped off. 🙁
So I hope Santa brings me another one!

I had wanted the fluttershy one so bad, but the mcdonalds near me didn't do the MLP when that was going on. I keep hoping they decide to sell them somewhere.

I am looking for one MLP. My daughter is obsessed with them. I am looking for Lulu Luck for me of course! I saw her once or twice at the store but didnt pick her up.

As ive polietly told my IL's, refer to my Pinterest wish list. My IL's have a big problem of only buying something similar to what I asked for. Last year I got a knock off Coach bag that fell apart within a few months. I dont know how much she paid for it, but Id feel bad if she spent over $30 for it. Im also known to exchange my gifts if I dont want it. Why let it clutter my house??/ I always try to ask for money b/c id rather pay the bills and get ahead than end up with stuff I probably wont use. My IL's and my parents hate when I do this.

http://pinterest.com/minicoopergrl/wishlist/

Id also like my laptop CD drive fixed. The control arm that prevents you from putting in 2 discs is busted and makes a really annoying sound.
