I love the diversity of everyone's backgrounds. Goes to show all the naysayers how talented and intelligent we are as a community. There is no "pole dancer type."

I'm a concierge during the day, freelance publicist, singer/actor/dancer, pole instructor, writer

Whew! I also worked in journalism for several years.

I'm a civil engineer working at a water utility. I'm also a writer with a series of four books out and working on the next one. Hopefully someday I'll be able to say I'm a writer first and an engineer second. 🙂

I am a retired nurse and semi retired dancer. My job now is to be my husbands alarm clock . Since we both sleep through alarm clocks.I am a night owl by nature. So I spend my nights sewing and my mornings getting my husband off to work and then I get to play with my horses and dogs . Not very exciting but I can not complain, it is very peaceful.

I work for our local tax collector/dmv office. I'm a clerk so I process dmv car registration renewals, property tax payments, and I do vehicle title transfers all day. I'm constantly sitting so that's a downside, but hey it pays the bills. 🙂

I’m a licensed civil engineer who specializes in ecological restoration- I left the consulting world last spring to teach engineering to high school kids at a nearby math and science magnet school. I’m also a registered guide and wilderness first responder, and I own a hunting/fishing lodge that I run during the summer months.
This fall, I’m also going to start teaching pole at one of the local dance studios.

I'm just like Danielle and "making the best in economic times" haha I like how she phrased that! I am also a makeup artist, have worked on and off in a crazy diner where I get to wear a poodle skirt dance on the counter and be rude to customers, I teach pole here and there and I just opened my own cupcake business and I hope to one day have a cupcake shop. Love everyone's jobs 🙂

I recnetly lost my full time job as a media/video editor for a small software company when it was bought by a big, evil corporation…. but since my degree is in Animation, it's given me a chance to work on my portfolio and Demo Reel. I've been getting contract work off and on since then, but really I'd have to say my occupation now is "starving artist." In my freetime (which I now have a bit too much of) I do special makeup-FX and bulid stop-motion animation puppets for a local production company.

Graduate of the Los Angeles Film School in Hollywood. I'm a screenwriter. So I spend most of my time in front of a laptop typing away. Partly I was looking to get away from a screen when I started pole, the irony, I'm on this site quite a lot lol.

I work at a dog day care and boarding facility…professional pooper-scooper!!!  It's my favorite job yet, and the dogs are the greatest  https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_heart1.gif  I also work as a personal assistant to a couple of artists with their ongoing projects.  And my pretty much full-time volunteer job is as a director with a local animal advocacy group; we put together vegan cooking demonstrations and other educational events.

I am a full time mom of three right now two girls ages 10&6 and one boy 9. I also do homeschool for them. Was going to school for a double major in Business admin with a minor in paralegal and for Criminal Justice. But with only four months to graduation had to move from the north to the south who won’t take my credits because of different accreditation so either have to start over or go for something else. Have also studied culinary. Right now I am starting to work on a online clothing site for pole and well everyday wear. Plan on getting my CPR instructor cert next month and from there get my personaltraining and group training cert from ACE from there want to eventually get my pole cert. Also taking makeup artist course and photography so can offer that in my studio. I am always looking to learn! Before moving to the south I worked as a Administrative Assistant fir a company that made the colors fir plastic which included their international paperwork. I also was a feeder and a personal care aid in a nursing home. I usually had two jobs and went tips school at night full time. I have done plumbing, personal assistant, pharmacy tech, server and bartending. One thing I have learned since moving to GA and the job market being what it is, is that I don’t want to work for someone else want my own business.

I fix aircraft electronics. It’s fun and I love electronics, but I’m working on a BS in physics. I’m also getting my group fitness certification next time AFAA does a nearby workshop.

Hi everyone! I love how pole brings together people with so many different backgrounds. Currently I am working as a clinical microbiologist for public health. I specifically work with aerobic bacteria and identifications. My off days at the gym are my pole days at home and I love it!

I am a singer on a cruise ship and after finding pole last year am absolutely missing it. Still trying to figure out what my next career move is but I don’t really know where I will live. Currently spending my off time in England with my boyfriend or New Jersey with my mom.
