I touch pointy toes to ground with knee tucks, if feeling bad ass do straight legs or V for first 6. Today I switched over after 12. Then went back for last set. They’re hard but not terrible. But the leg raises slay me; 25 each leg with straight leg is nonstop limit, can do 35 -40 with attitude leg. Switching feels cheaty but I just get to fatigue and cannot.go.on.

The last week is scary :-0

You can do whatever variations you need to, in order to make it through with the best form. That’s why I have different options. Nothing wrong with touching the ground if needed.

I’ve only just got my pole set up (yay – finally) and I’ve started the 30 day abs challenge and the kick start programme as I have been off the pole for a while and I really need to build strength. Mine will be abs of Aug and Sept! 🙂 Only worry is that I travel a lot and may struggle with roll ups (even in a door frame) and knee tucks. I usually pop in a Switch for good measure. Any other suggestions?
(I’m just imagining doing the roll ups in a hotel door way in the Middle East …. Guaranteed to be labelled as the “more-crazy-than-usual” foreigner!!!)

I agree Tropicalpole, those leg raises are tough! I can’t do them without stopping. Congrats on your hands free cupid…yay!

I usually do the workout in the morning, but this morning I had to be at work early so I skipped it. Planning to do it tonight and just noticed 220 twists and 60 leg raises….aaaggghhh! My shoulders get tired during the twists and my legs just won’t cooperate if I try and do the leg raises without stopping. For those of you who did your workout this morning, please send positive vibs my way!

It’s so great to read about everyone’s progress!! Congrats to all of you on the awesome new moves!! I got a late start so I was on day 16 and then had to go out of town for my grandfather’s funeral so I am like 5 days behind. Can I jump right back in to day 17 or should I ease into it?

Goodness me, I’m so far behind! I’m only up to day 11, and I’ve not done any exercise at all for 3 days! Well, unless you count carrying in about a dozen boxes of our belongings from the undercover area that was swimming in 2 inches of water after heavy rainfall. Amazingly, nothing was damaged!!

Oh, except my foot. I had a run in with a pole, but not the good kind. Some heavy metal table legs broke through the bottom of a soaked box and one landed straight onto the top of my foot. Thankfully, just a little bit of swelling and bruising. It could’ve been so much worse!

Oh, and so now my pole room is full of boxes, and half unpacked stuff. :-/

Mind you, there’s still room to do the abs work. Phew!

I’m so close to getting a cup grip shoulder mount i can taste it. When I started poling in feb of this year I tried it and I thought it would be impossible for me to ever get that. It’s almost weird to see a change so fast but it makes me so happy. And I have visible external obliques for the first time in my life 🙂

I only have two days left, and I do believe my belly is flatter.

I wouldn’t mind another 30-day challenge of some sort. Has Veena got another one up her sleeve?

    All done!
    Before and after.
Thanks Veena and everyone else who did it for the inspiration. 🙂
I am actually heavier a month later but much stronger and still fit same jean shorts so maybe I muscled up a bit?

Even with being a slack bum, I noticed tonight that I can get up from our couch (one that is easy to sink into) while using both arms to hold my sleeping two-year-old more easily than I could a couple of weeks ago.

When I say ‘easier than I could’, I actually had to get my partner to hold my hand and pull me up. But not anymore.

    Yay, abs! 😀

I think I left off on day 19 or 20? I had to pause for Dragoncon and will resume when I get home.

Tropical, I didn’t take before/after photos or I would post them too. You look great!

TropicalPole you look great! I didn’t take before and after pics. My abs don’e look any different, but I’m definitely stronger. Thanks so much to everyone for inspiring me to do this. I will definitely keep it up, especially since I can feel the results when I pole!

Back from Pole Expo and have decided this should be part of my daily routine. So, I’m back to it. I decided to start at day 10 because today is the 10th so it’ll be easy to track where I am in the process.

This looks great. I’m going to bookmark this and come back to it in a few months. I am in the middle of a 30 day ab calendar right now, but I can do this sequence in a later month!
