Getting ready to purchase some tickets! I can't wait to meet some of you guys! Also looking for roommates etc. @ Rena I love the idea of an SV pole jam 🙂
-
I'm going too… Bought my tix the other night…. last year was great so looking forward to an even better experience this time! I don't see any info posted about workshops yet… Does anyone know when that might happen or am I missing it?
-
I think I found them on the website where you order your USPDF gear. From what I saw there was Estee, Karol, Brook, Tracy Traskos, USPDF 2011 winner. Im not sure about anyone else.
I wanna take them all, but I need to work on my tricks so I may take Estee's.

I signed up for a 1 1/2 hr class w/ Marlo already — if you haven't been to Body & Pole then your first class is only $20! Such a steal!!! I also want to take workshops w/ Jenyne, Karol, and Estee. But I haven't seen where Jenyne's are listed yet! I'll only be taking classes on Saturday since I'll be flying home on Sunday and don't want to miss my flight!!! I am going to send Lian a message to ask if it'd be possible to do a pole jam at her studio and how much it'd cost and/or is someone bringing a pole!?

I guess I am retarded because I still can"t find them any where on uspdf… And lst year weren't all the workshops at NY Pole dance? I thought there was a big disaster with the body and pole ones were all cancelled due to the preformers being under contract with uspdf during that time…? I took mine with Amber and thought they were all held at NY Pole dance….. ?
-
I think all USPDF affilated workshops are being held at NYPD. Heres the link for the workshops that I think they are – https://clients.mindbodyonline.com/ASP/home.asp?studioid=8706
I think I should totally hit up a B&P class too! You cant beat $20! Is b&P close to the venue?

Deleted UserFebruary 1, 2011 at 10:46 amps- is there the after party again like last year? that was so fun, if not we all should go out for appetizers or drinks after the show!
-
hey minicooper! B&P isn't close to the venue of the show– it's about a $12 cab ride away– but it is easily accessible via just about any subway line. if you know where you are staying i can help you figure out the easiest way to get there.
sascha- i'm sure there will be an afterparty but i'm not sure what you paid $20 for– you got tickets to the pro comp for that amount? all the seats in the front have been sold out alreayd, and they're $95 for the pros… $25 for amateur.
-
Id buy now to ensure u gguys get tickets. How close is body and pole and where the uspdf workshops will be held? I wish they’d announce all the parties going on. We MUST have a sv pole jam!!!
-
I'm trying to work something fun out for the SV peeps stay tuned. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

Is there any way to find out how many people will be in each workshop? Some one who went last year said they took a workshop and she felt like she got nothing out of it due to over crowding….
-
body and pole is on 5th avenue and 31st street, and about a block from the yellow and green lines and 2 blocks from the red and blue lines.
NYPD is on 52nd street between 8th and 9th aves. it's 3 blocks from the blue lines and 4 blocks from the red lines. taking the train back and forth would be pretty easy, you could just take the blue line in between, but it would be a 5-10 minute walk as well.
sam i am– you can see how many spots are available and how many are sold for the workshops on the USPDF sign up page: https://clients.mindbodyonline.com/ASP/home.asp?studioid=8706. there are twelve spots for all of the NYPD workshops, and i think they have 6 poles in each room so it's 2 to a pole. i dont think that's overcrowding, but what you get out of the workshop depends a lot on where you are as a poler and who you sign up for.
-
Hey Veena I hope its ok but I sent Lian a message asking for info on a possible pole jam… as soon as I know anything ill fwd the info to u.
-
amy thanks for the link….see it now,,,two to a pole works great for me! Now just need to make my choices :):)
-
Thanks for the links guys! Now I gotta decide…. which one to do…. I was hoping Karol would be doing that basic spinny pole workshop but it's not on there…. So I'm between Estee or Karol? Any suggestions?
