I went for my bi-monthly massage the other day and received what I can only take as a thrilling compliment. My lat was bothering me, so I asked Veronique to give it some love. As she grabbed it, she let out a sound of amazement and said, "Yes! You have something to grab onto. Most ladies I massage have a thin membrane that is super difficult to massage, and…oh, WOW! I can grab it all the way up"! I just started to giggle and said I was glad my hard work is paying off for HER! I love her…….Later, I realized that it made me feel really awesome with the progress I have made on my body and that only a poler (or other aerialist) would feel such weird satisfaction.

My massage therapist is always commenting about my muscle tone.  I think she enjoys beating me up.

My physio told me that I have "larger than normal back muscles" and I've also been told several times that I work out too much. The best compliment I ever received was simply "you're really strong" from Shimmy in a workshop at the Australian Summer Pole Camp! I was super chuffed because she's my favourite "pole model" haha

I’ve always had nice long & lean legs but I’ve gotten a lot of comments about how strong & gorgeous my legs are ever since I’ve started poling 🙂

I think the best one I've gotten so far was, post-frisky-times with the hubby, he said he was impressed by the muscle definition he could see in my upper back.

My massage therapist frequently comments on my calves, and my fellow yoga students are envious of my inversions. I just got back from a class actually and some of the other students were all https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_surprised.gif because I nailed the headstand on my first try. It's not all that different a concept from the elbow stands I practice regularly and I'm used to being upside down. What can I say?

"You look pretty good for your age.  That pole and dancing thing must be working for ya."

I need to get massages more often.  I get compliments on the increase of my flexibility.

my massage therapist said I have excellent muscle tone and am in better shape than 95 % of the population…

I've aquired students because they see my arms and want them. I think that's pretty cool (not just that I've gotten students that way, but that they want muscles too!)

My friends (and boyfriend) have been commenting on the definition in my arms, and especially my shoulders and upper back! I've also been noticing that I'm losing more mass around my thighs, which is something that has NEVER happened for me! I'm really pleased, because I'm also getting more muscle definition in my legs… and it also shows that I'm increasing strength and need the fat to keep going 😉

I would love to get a massage often. *wistful sigh* One day… maybe…

Having trouble getting long-sleeved shirts on I take as a big complement to my forearms!

My back often gets most comments wows and compliments, but my all time favorite was from a masseuse friend: your pectorals feel like the ones of a guy I massaged the other day… he had chest implants. 😉

I've gotten A LOT of compliments on my arms and my shoulders.  However I'm silently complimenting myself on my slowly, BUT SURELY emerging ab muscleshttps://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif.  Recently a friend asked me how is my butt so Firm yet so Bouncy?!  https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif I told him that I guess it must be because I work out in heels 5 times a week sometimes 2 times in 1 day depending on the class.https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_queen.gif

My favorite compliment was during a handbalancing lesson, I was in a handstand and the teacher exclaimed, "Whoa! Your lats are huge!"  That just about made my year.  I also like it when my shirts get too tight because my arms are too big.  I think women with muscles are sexy! 😉

I was recently at a bar and was talking about pole dancing with some friends. The groups of Gus next to us laughed and said that it “wasn’t a sport”. When I explained how it increased my strength an flexibility, they laughed. So I challenged one of them to pull ups ( there wqa a low hanging bar in the space). He accepted and laughed with his buddies. He said if I could do more than him that they would buy a round for my friends and I. Leta just say…free drinks are the best kind 😉

At work, most of our patients are immobile or sedated so they must be turned at least every two hours. Sometimes it’s difficult to find a man to help with turning because most of the nurses are female. So now everybody comes to find me because I’m strong and can make turning easier for them 😛

I haven't started poling yet, but the exercises I have been doing to get my self ready for the pole have been doing me some good apparently. Hubby and I were cuddling last night and I caught his leg between my upper thighs and gave them a nice squeeze. He says, "Can you unwrap your legs please" "Why hunny?" "Cause you're cutting off circulation!" His leg was tingling and he had to wiggle hard to get out of my grip. I smiled on the outside but on the inside I was like "YESSSS!"

Someone commented on a Facebook picture of me on my pole. They said "The transformation I've seen in you from the last time I saw you is just amazing." They were right, lost weight, toned, hair cut, makeup, and some sexy digs vs. the jeans/tshirt/twice a year haircut rut I had fallen into since taking my desk job. Poling has revived me. I've also gotten several comments on my collar bones. Even before I was a poler, I asked my now husband what his favorite thing about me was. I expected eyes, face, lips, t n a, legs, but he said "Your clavicles". Never thought there was anything special about collar bones lol!!!!!
