Splits Flexibility
Posted by Veena on July 10, 2011 at 7:47 pmI wanted to give everyone an update https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif I'm in the process of finishing the splits routines for the lessons! I hope your all as excited as I am!! As you may have noticed, I always upload all of the individual lessons first…. and then post the routines last. This is so you can learn proper technique FIRST and then move on to the routines. Think of the routines as dvds, and the individual lessons as your break down of what you'll need to know do "use" the "dvd" properly. So if you haven't had a chance to work on the new stretching lessons now is the time so your ready for the routines! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_heart1.gif
Here are some tips you'll need to keep in mind when stretching https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/4dd66731-eab0-4b4a-aa13-41ad0ac37250

https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif Thank you Veena. I spent about two hours the other day reviewing and trying to figure what to do when. This will make it much easier. You are awesome!!

Thank you Veena. You are truly a gem. I can't wait! I LOVE your lessons! Thay are always so full of information and great easy to understand instructions. (I especially love how you show how to do it wrong! It really helps me make sure to do it right)

Thank you Veena. I didn't even know we had routines! I just started getting the lessons online with you:) Good to know. Also, everyone can do the splits with practice. I couldn't even touch my toes til after I had my daughter when I began working on it! I hope everyone tries it out.

Thanks guys! @ Finreah, the stretching lessons are also in order so you can just do them in a row if you like. Read the descriptions because several of the stretches work the same muscle groups, so if your in a rush you can pick and chose to do only one stretch that targets say the hamstrings for example instead of doing all the stretches for the hamstrings. Everything is grouped together this includes the conditioning lessons too. All shoulder exercises are in a row, all Ab ect….https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

Thanks Veena!
I love that it's a whole routine and I don't need to get up and put on a bunch of different videos. You should definitely do more of these.

I now have no excuses for my lack of flexibility. The routines are suberb!

How often should I do the routines? Ive been doing them pretty much at least every other day after my workouts. Also, I noticed w the middle splits routine, the end pose is very hard for me to get out of! Any suggestions? I am way more flexible on the side. I am about a foot away from the ground in the middle and only a couple inches from the side. SHould I do the middle rotuine more? Thank you for these routines. I have always wanted to do the splite. Maybe now I will! For someone training and trying regularly, is there an average time frame to success? 🙂

If your just getting into stretching then only work on these a max of 2 times a week (if your doing them on the same day). If you do them separately then do each routine once a week, to start.
If you have been working on flexibility for a while, feel free to work on the routines every other day.
If you find your sore or if your loosing flexibility then give yourself more time in between (also be sure your fully warm and not over stretching).
The end pose your talking about is that the pull though? If so its advanced so if its not comfortable yet skip it. The most important thing is to listen to your body. More is not always best when it comes to working out or increasing flexibility. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_heart1.gif
There is not average time frame every body is different so as long as your seeing progress then your doing great! xoxo Keep us posted!
