Wow, I've been away a long time! I'm just going through these now and having a listen 🙂 So far I'm on Madness by Muse, pretty nice!
Another one for you guys – I've basically made a whole (albeit, beginner) routine to this in my head already! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lHZKPYQnsmc

I really wanted to use it for a show that’s coming up. It’s very long though and I just don’t think I could manage the whole 5 and a bit mins. My studio is fitness based so I don’t have the ability to fill some space with floor work and catch my breath! Even if I could, too much shimmy would probably be frowned apon.
-
What if your floor work were flexibility and strength moves?
-
That would work if my flexibility wasn’t non existent. Definitely open to some suggestions though. Gives me something to work towards 🙂
-
Or if it was lyrical / dane based as opposed to sexy? Thats what I did, if I can find the video ill post it 🙂
-
Just incase no one mention any of these,,,
Feelin' love by Paula Cole
Is it Over? by Theivery Corporation
My delicate dreams by Shana Halligan
Gravity by John Mayer
Come away with me Norah Jones
Blood Stream By Stateless
…and the list goes on! 🙂

I would like to see Aletha rock out to AC /DC, YOU SHOOK ME ALL NIGHT LONG.
-
Purple Rain by Prince would be amazing performed by Jenyne Butterfly or Tracee Kafer.
-
Wow, my musical tastes don’t really fit in here.
I would LOVE to see somebody, ANYBODY, try to choreograph a routine on spin-mode to “Hallowed Be Thy Name” by Iron Maiden. It is my humble opinion that this would probably be the ultimate challenge for any dancer to pull off. It would be a masterpiece in my eyes.
Anything by Acid Bath. Personal challenge would be “Jezebel”.
For fun, I would like to see some 1960’s and ’70’s music being used. I don’t often see any pole routines to it or, if I do, it’s typically the same songs being used over and over again.
Most ridiculous songs I’d like to make a routine to? Probably “I Remember that Freak” by Cypress Hill, “Cherry Pie” by ICP, “Balls Out” by The Bloodhound Gang, “Whole Lotta Rosie” by ACDC, or “Triad” by Jefferson Airplane. lol
Fav popular pole song I’d like to try my hand at? “Closer” by Nine Inch Nails or “Glorybox” by Portishead.

I have to say my general music taste is for the more unusual – however, this song is full of such poetry, such beauty, that I would love to see a dance to it – perhaps by someone with a little more grace then me 🙂 I don't know if power moves would work as well…

… I have been waiting the edge of my seat for that 😀 Sorry, I am quite immature at times teehee.
OK, jokes aside, as it was a good question, which I couldn't resist taking advantage of.
This is a song I plan to do a routine for, especially as I am a hip hop dancer.
Otherside by Macklemore – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nWhx-CtPmBU
Or something like this, as it is one of the most emotive tracks ever in the history of ever
The Kiss by Trevor Jones
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yB6S3c7f8XA
BUT I secretly want to do a routine to this
Guy on a Buffalo by The Possum Posse

Serzi, I am doing a routine to a 70s song for my debut public performance in October. Stressing out about my performance already 😉
-
I’m working on “My songs know what you did in the dark” by Fall Out Boy. I like really powerful songs since I tend to focus on tricks that rely on strength. After that, I’m thinking something by Breaking Benjamin, possibly “Had Enough”
-
Ooh Breaking Benjamin are great for pole! I've already done Blow Me Away (the video is on here if you want to see) and I'd love to do Diary of Jane, Topless and maybe Breath 🙂
-
I’m not doing Other side. But I will be doing a freestyle to Neon Cathedral
-
Blue Foundation-Eyes on Fire, Jenyne Butterfly danced to in the 2009 Worlds.
-
Reach for me by the cast of Smash. It might just be my all time favorite song for pole/aerial. I would love to see a pole only routine!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xj8uBGYN6Tg is from the tv show.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AlthanIodGc is a silks/pole freestyle I found.

My instructor played "Leather so soft" by Lil Wayne and Birdman. She did a really sultry routine to it so of course I put it on my playlist. It's a rap song but worked very well in class!
