Shoulder mount to scorpio

so, Im trying to do a quick one minute routine... I want to be able to transition from aerial shoulder mounts to supermans and back... I can do an aerial shoulder mount fine and I can do superman fine (from scorpio) What I can't seem to do is shoulder mount into scorpio without it being awkward I.E. I have to twist my body in front of the pole after hooking and it just doesn't look right I could shoulder mount into crucifix but have no idea how to get from crucifix to superman within 1-3 moves I can also superman from hip lock but not sure how to get hip lock from shoulder mount.. my hip lock comes from a scorpio to pike to hip lock anyway. Anyone have any suggestions? Or a shoulder mount to scorpio tutorial? Julie

i wish i was able to freakin post already so i could help. i do this 1 but much easier to show than try to explain. have web cam and now how to record, but once its recorded i'm lost.. sorry couldnt help more. 🙁 😳

What I do is shoulder mount, getting my legs far enough past the pole to grip with my thighs, and then push my torso up with my hands against the pole. That kinda gets me into an upside down plank of sorts and then I reach back, grab the pole behind me with one hand and sink into the superman. Does that make sense? Let me know if you need more help with it.

Awesome link, thank you!! Still curious if anyone is able to successfully shoulder mount into scorpio and make it look graceful, though. I've seen felix do it, but she does everything so damn quickly. At least Jenyne does it nice and slow so I can see exactly what she's doing.

Yup that's EXACTLY what i'm trying to do... it looks like you tilt your body to the side and "catch" yourself on your outside leg while still almost horizontal to the pole rather than some sort of straddle into it vertical to the pole. If you could break it down for me, 😀 i'd be much appreciated. Julie

Yep you have the right idea down....I'll be do this combo in the new lesson for sure!! 🥂 🥂 The leg that comes up to hook, on to the pole, is the opposite leg of the shoulder your resting the pole on. If that helps, you don't have to do the spin into it either...Here is a video on the SM into Superman...its right at the beginning and a good angle, and I do it slower....the idea is the same... only you hook the that opposite leg, instead of grabbing the pole with your thighs. So if you mount on your right, you hook with the left knee pit 😉 I'm terrible with typing things out, I hope that was a tiny bit helpful. lol http://ver3.studioveena.com/lessons/view/106

YES!!! I just did it! I actually did a Shoulder Mount -> Scorpio -> Superman -> Aerial shoulder mount !! I feel very gravity defying and happy!
