    First of all, I am nowhere near a shoulder mount, nor am I trying to attempt one. That said, I do want to build strength and was trying a static shoulder hold, if that makes any sense. (Hold the pole behind me between my spine and shoulder and bring my knees up to my chest)
    I really don’t understand how to hold the pole correctly for this though! The moment I tried lifting my feet off the ground, I was unable to keep my upper body in the same position and my upper back skin started just sliding down the pole. What can I do to fix this?
    Also, is there a certain spot on my shoulder where it’ll feel comfortable to have this pressure from the pole? Or does it just feel better with practice (this kind of seems to be what people have said in older shoulder mount threads)
