2 hand variations… (It’s hard to tell… Too much hair)

Day 14: https://instagram.com/p/0N_iEHDLDf
Ouch!!!! I recorded both versions of ballerina today since I was already in the ballerina mode, and I think this one is more painful. Tomorrow’s looks better.
I think in the studio we call this one “twisted” because your hand goes to the opposite leg.

Ballerina variation as back wouldn’t open up today despite lots of warming up https://www.studioveena.com/videos/view/55048c62-4ebc-4fc7-9255-4da00a9aa0eb

https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/5468f819-cf9c-4329-a1b4-3bd70a9aa0eb Day 11 – I tried it. xD Not very successfully. But at least I tried. 😂 *sigh* such a pretty move, but I guess I’m not really ready for it yet. Need to bring my chest more towards the floor, so I can hold myself with the lower arm a bit better.
Ballerina will follow. I can do a twisted Ballerina just fine, but the regular ballerina feels so wrong… Need to try that too a few times before I can post it. xD

Day 15! twisted Ballerina http://instagram.com/p/0OpcK7JAa3/
Check out my lesson https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/4fa29778-6ce0-4814-9df4-0e9c0ac37250 for helpful tips and variations! Here we are twisting the torso allowing the front of the arm pit to come to the opposite side of the pole.
-
I think for most the twisted ballerina is easier than the other, but not always.
-
I just joined today – I did a summary of the past 15 days 🙂

Day 16! Roxy Spin! http://instagram.com/p/0RPNOPJASY/
Here is the lesson https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/501801ad-aff8-4960-b3f4-613a0ac37250 this spin was created by Studioveena member RoxyPink 💜

Thanks Veena! I kept thinking… I got it.. then I’d watch it and realize I turned the wrong way or something.. Then I ended up watching and doing so many times I lost track of what was what.
My 1st issue was that I wouldn’t pivot enough and my inside leg would end up in the back…. (as pictured)
Then the other issue was just that it didn’t looks so smooth because for some reason I feel like I need to flip the direction of the back leg or something… Who knows, but it makes it little stutter… but maybe that just needs practice.
-
PS – the lesson was very helpful… clearly my awareness of where my limbs are is so poor that if I didn’t have the lesson it would have been a pretzel 😛

Day 17! 🌈 Pole Back Bend http://instagram.com/p/0TtyhzJAQp/
Pole Back Bend. For easier variations and full break down check out my lesson https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/52f2fc69-7a68-4a09-b54f-36570a9aa0eb This can be a great transition or a beautiful move on its own!

Day 17 http://instagram.com/p/0VCdpqDLF0/
This was fun. I feel like I usually do this with the inside arm holding me up… This was way more stable 🙂
-
Day 19 🌈 Basic Butterfly http://instagram.com/p/0YmTpMJASx/
Keep in mind this uses an elbow or forearm grip, not Split grip! Here is the lesson

Ah darn, I recorded a split grip Butterfly today in case I couldn’t pole tomorrow! Oh well, guess I’ll have to make time 🙂
Here is day 18: http://instagram.com/p/0Yo9EyjLE2/

Day 19: http://instagram.com/p/0bNYf7DLCY/
Not very archy… But I tried. I actually recorded a butterfly yesterday for the challenge today but it was in split grip… I didn’t realize that wasn’t today’s challenge! So I rerecorded in a rush…. I worked today and I have a continuing ed class tonight
I’ll post the other one later if anyone is interested :p
-
This was new to me (I never tried butterfly not in split grip). Realizing now that I probably should have had my chest against the pole for more arch, I’m so used to trying to create that space between myself and the pole… But it made it less stable when I was trying to arch… But after looking at photos, I think being closer to the pole would have been prettier.
-
Yep, the pole should be right by the shoulder, (hug the pole) as if you were about to caterpillar climb!
-
I catipillar in elbow grip and never really get that close to the pole… Hm, now I need to re-eval everything!!!
-
Day 20! 🌈 Ballerina Spin (static pole)
http://instagram.com/p/0bSfwzpAQy/AKA Pretzel Spin! Here is the lesson showing both static and spinning pole! https://www.studioveena.com/lessons/view/4fc631e5-4354-4c33-8b45-7bf40ac37250 A solid reverse grab is helpful before moving on to this spin. If your body isn’t ready for the static variation, try it on spinning pole, just be aware the technique is a bit different. 💚
-
It’s not very exciting but here is my split grip butterfly. Need to work on my other versions much more…. Never even tried forearms grip anything!
-
Ugh forearm and elbow grips ugh ugh caterpillar ugh. I tried hard, I tried both, they terrify me, I don’t feel safe, I fell out of extended butterfly from caterpillar and stopped poling for years and recently fell out if elbow grip Ayesha and the sprain still hasn’t healed so I gave up. Uploaded my basic butterfly instead, which is a spin in from inverted outside leg hook. Sorry.
