SV April Challenge!
Posted by Veena on March 29, 2015 at 11:23 amThe Studioveena.com April Challenge, is April Abs! This challenge will include both pole moves, and exercises that will help you build abs of steel! The day before, I will post a demo with multiple levels of difficulty so everyone can play and WIN!
Yes, I said win! This month we have a wonderful sponsor Kupmykakez, who will pass out weekly giveaways to those who participate daily with hashtags! You must have a public IG profile to qualify for giveaway.

Super excited to get into this one! I’m also really curious what you’ll do for the ladies who cannot do flags, or inverts, or shoulder mounts… but I get the feeling you’ve totally got something up your sleeve 😉

Probably not gonna really participate – by now I guess you know how bad I am with this “do something every day” stuff*… xD But I’m gonna let this inspire me and do as many as I can manage. 🙂
*I hope this will get better as it gets warmer, I’m just too lazy to warm my pole up every day so I don’t slide down. So I always think “ok, I’ll do two tomorrow, or three” and yeah, 2 weeks later the challenge is over and I still didn’t do a thing. xD

Yay!!!! I’m on vacation now until the 4th but since I made the graphic I had a sneak peak at the list… So I pre-recorded the first 4 days! (But if I find a pole to flag on or knee tuck on I’ll re-record, I just didn’t want to be stuck) Super excited for another challenge.

Perform 5-20 reps and 1-3 sets BOTH SIDESWhile it may seem impossible or easy depending on your level of fitness, this is a foundational move for pole and should be part of your pole sessions. Learning how to properly hold the pole will save your shoulders and back! 💪 If lifting both feet off the floor is not yet possible keep one on the floor and lift the opposite until you become stronger. Day 2! Hahah! I just realized today is not April 2…and yesterday was not April 1…😄
Oh well, looks like I’m a wee bit ahead of the game. I’m new to IG (I seriously joined just to participate more seriously this month) so I’m just figuring out how to copy the clips over here correctly, doh.
Anyway, flag was freaking hard. This clip was actually my first time even getting up in half flag. I can’t say it enough: this is hard!!!

I figured I’d hit stay one day ahead so I’m still posting everyday. Maybe on the last day I’ll try to come up with something else to throw down. Anyway: Day 3…body rolls!!! Please ignore my boyfriend making fun of me and one of my male roommates walking by in the background. I don’t have the most pole conducive environment lol 🙂
