This is an old post, I never notice till half way through readin lol!
In my opinion, songs are written based on personal experience and it after reading the song lyrics I feel its just telling a story…not actually portraying all pole dancers to be strippers. -
When I wanted to look up the video on YouTube I saw there are censired versions of it so of course I went for the uncensored https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif
But while watching, I thought "when the hell do they show the adult stuff"? And while i was thinking, the song was over.
So, am I disappointed? No. I think it's a nice song, it's catchy and would prabalby make myself feel naughty when dancing to it – will try that later https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif
I can actually deal with it when people think I'm doing naughty pole dancing. That's ok. It only shows that they have a problem with their sexuality when they're making a big thing out of it.

My favorite video I made for SV was all about Porn. Now, I am no big name pole star, just little ole Lyme Lyte in her basement. But the song I used was very popular in the 1970's and it is sung by an actual porn star the the song was all about making a porn video, "get the cameras rolling, get the action going"…..I LOVED feeling a little dirty and it brought out my artistic side. ENJOY

I don't know if it' just me, but i interpet this as an adjective. Like it's porn star dancing. Like the type of dancing that porn stars do. Not that "this porn star is dancing."
Idk, to me it is a dinstinction that makes it acceptable. Sometimes pole dancing can be very very sexy and sexual, just like a porn star (note: NOT a porn) might be. I'm ok with a song sending the message "I like these girls who dance like porn stars." Epecially since it is specifically about strippers… i mean, that is their objective, pretty much, right?
It's a fun song. I will dance to it. I will also dance to ballerina-type music. Pole is diverse and I embrace all aspects of it.

I must admit that I dont understand the frustration over poledance and porn and so on.. I respect other opinions ofcourse, but this just doesnt bother me. Im very good friends with a popular danish porn star, and she rocks, and she poledances like a pro 😀 When she dances, she doesnt dance for the athlete aspect, but because it makes her feel sexy, and therefor her style is sexy. She is a sexy poledancing pornstar, and I would love to dance like her. But then again, I dont have to deal with people frowning on poledance. Here in Denmark, people know that this has become very popular as a sport. Im proud to say I poledance, and the responses are always "yeah, that has become sooo popular to do!", "Cool, I wanna try that" "Omg thats soo hard" "Can I try" "can you teach me?" I know thats not the case for everyone, but it makes it very hard for me, to want to take pole away from the strip aspect or porn. I also love the way it is right now, there's athletes, theres sexy dance. I dont want either to push the other out. Besides, if pole wasnt in the stripclubs, before it became popular as a sport, I dont think it would be as empowering as it actually is. It is empowering to dare to be a sexy, dancing woman and still be strong as hell. It would be boring if it was just all about gymnastics. 🙂
