Pole dancer on America’s Got Talent
Apparently there's going to be another pole dancer on America's Got Talent – not sure when the episode is supposed to air but it will be on Hulu on June 22. From the preview clip, she looks pretty legit.

Oh yeah. I meant to post about that for those who'd be interested in tuning in. She's a friend of the owner of my old pole studio and also works as a dancer around town.

So glad to see pole dancing getting airtime on these types of shows!
I kept watching all the audition episodes of So You Think You Can Dance (Canada and US) in hopes of seeing a pole dancer but no luck! I probably missed a few episodes though, anyone heard of pole dancing on SYTYCD?

Lola, I've been waiting to see a pole dancer on SYTYCD too! My sister and I watch it religiously, we take turns making dinner and have a SYTYCD night at her house every week. I haven't seen a pole dancer yet but I think it's just a matter of time. I have seen a burlesque dancer and this season there was a stripper that tried out. She did all kinds of ghetto booty poppin it was awesome. She didn't make it through, but I think the judges were thrilled she was there, they were extremely civil and thanked her for coming. I was glad cause she seemed really sweet. I think SYTYCD would be a perfect place for a talented pole dancer to showcase themselves. I think in order to do well they'd have to tailor their performances/wardrobes to work for a general audience TV show but I've seen enough vids on youtube of performances that would work that I'm confident that there is somebody out there that could pull it off.

It will be very interesting to hear the judges’ reponse to Steven. He is an amazing dancer that will no doubt drop some jaws. 🙂

He did well. I wasn't sure about how his choice to rock heels would go over with the judges, but it worked with his whole performance.

OH MY AWESOME! My foot is totally in my mouth. The first time I saw steven rocking heels in a vid on youtube I wasn't sure what to think. I think I was looking for artistic pole clips at the time to show ppl that side of pole. And I had seen him in other clips without heels and I thought he was an amazing dancer, so when I saw him in heels I think I mentally took note not to show him to my family, lol. I really didn't think he could win the audience over in heels. The fact that he did just goes to show how awesome he is. I loved how sweet he sounded in his pre-interview, and then just busted out his awesome moves. He has an obvious love for what he does, and he is able to convey that with every movement of his body when he dances. I'm so glad he was brave enough to do AGT and that the audience loved him!

He did great! I’m so happy a pole dancer made it into the next round! I thought for sure the judges wouldn’t be able to see past the shoes. Big kudos to him for being himself and wearing them!

My husband and I watched the show last night. He's not too interested in pole dancing, but even he recognized that Steven was demonstrating amazing skills. When Piers made those negative comments like, "I don't get it," my husband said to the TV, "You try it then."

What ever happened to the first girl in the audition in the first link on this thread? She looked very good in the clip. Did she make it through?
