Pole Short Wish List?
Posted by littlelindsay on August 9, 2012 at 9:32 amWhat is your dream pair of pole shorts?
I think everyone can agree how important it is to have everything comfy down there. So what are your favourite brands? (sorry if there is already a thread on this topic)
For me the most important feature is having a separate crotch panel or gusset. I absolutely hate hate HATE centre seams in shorts! It's like having a permanent vagina wedgie. That's why I'm blown away by how many companies use that feature.
So far the only brands I've found that don't use a centre seam are Lululemon (and the price of those shorts are ridiculous, but they're soooo comfy) and Pole Skivvies. I love Pole Skivvies but I prefer shorts that feature tie strings, rouching or any other fun details. I also love bright colors and crazy prints, feathers, etc. I've resorted to wearing boyshort underwear since they use a separate crotch panel.
I know a lot of companies browse this site, so hopefully they can take note?
And if you could point me in the direction of crotch comfort (no centre seam) shorts pleeeeease send me a link to their store and I will buy EVERYTHING.

I have bought everything (cheap) from target, walmart, victoria secrets etc. I don't like any of the coverage for my bigger booty. I was in Atlanta and found a Lulumon store and splurged on two pair of shorts (about $50.00 each), but I LOVE them. One has the draw strings in the front and the other has the multiple colored band and is reversible to all black. Money well spent for even a cheap skate as myself. Now if I could only find a bra that would hold the old DD's!

awesome, yeah I don't regret my Lululemon purchases at all!
Yeah, I don't know of any pole dancer that doesn't have a big ol' booty (which is amazing) and those boyshort underwear seem to be designed for flat bummed chicks. Everytime I wear them there's always an under-butt peekaboo action going on (which is ok at home, but at the studio?)
I know girls with big boobs that swear by the Lululemon tops. I'm not sure what style, but they swear their girls are contained

Darn, i should have check them out as well. I am leary to buy over the net. I will be looking for this brand for a top now! Thanks for the advice!

no prob! really wish I could speak from experience but I wear children's sports bras. Ugh. AND i'm breastfeeding still so my boobs are going to shrivel up to little raisins when I'm done. not looking forward to that.

I know Bad Kitty and Mika yoga wear are also highly renowned for their shorts and tops.

Hahahaha, I knew there would be multiple threads on this topic!
I bought Mika pole wear and while I like the style and colour they use a centre seam that caused me to tug on them constantly.

Chem is our, info hero! Always there to save the day!

Haven’t found the perfect shorts yet so I’m no help but I totally hate the centre seam too! Thought I was the only one since centre seam shorts seem to be ruling the world. Hate hate hate them.
-
If you want comfy full coverage pole shorts try poleskivvies. No center seam…..I love mine! http://poleskivvies.com/pole-dance-shorts/

"Yeah, I don't know of any pole dancer that doesn't have a big ol' booty"
Right here, I have pancake ass! (Am I allowed to say the a-word here?) Anyway, I'd love some pole shorts that lift and enhance, like a sports bra for the tushy 😛

My dream pair of pole shorts would have a built in padded bum cause i have absolutely none, why is it then when I loose weight my bum just gets flatter and flatter while the rolls stay on my stomach grrrrrr. !

Victoria's Secret just came out with these in various colors all with a cute side design. I looked in their catalog and thought of StudioVeena right away! And I almost burst out to the sales associate, "These would be perfect for poling!" but didn't because I work at a jewelry store in the same mall, and my boss would surely can me 🙂

Wow that posted huge! Anyways it seems to have that middle seam, does anyone else find it uncomfortable? So far I haven't tried seamed shorts on the pole…
-
I like something fitted around my upper thighs….I would be afraid of showing the goodies wearing that type of short when doing any type of inversions. But I would love them for running!
-
You're right, Lyme! I hadn't thought of inverted-related wardrobe malfunctions 🙂 I suppose you could see up them too, LOL. Maybe for my husband only 😉 This thread gives me a lot to think about–comfortable seams and avoiding unintentional flashing, haha!
-
How long are they in real life? They look a little long for pole sits and tricks in the picture? I know I've resorted to wearing VS boy shorts to pole tricks class because my shorts kept being too long #poledancerproblems https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

I wish any short that wasn’t a man’s boxer brief (only man’s short I wore) would cover my crack.
I have a large bum, and my crack is long, any short I wear, regardless of size, my crack is exposed to a point, I’m a size 8 jean with my crack exposed I feel lucky when exposure of a tong is the only thing they admit they see. So happy when high waisted pant/shorts came into style again!
Any shorts out there which are higher in the back side? -
Rig now, I’m obsessed wih lululemon boogie shorts. 🙂 so incredibly comfy and adorable.
-
I love Lululemon shorts. Boogie shorts are great, but they are too high waisted for me. My favorite are the hot n sweaty shorts, which are a lower rise and the front thighs have drawstrings to scrunch. Hot n sweaty is gone, but they bring back different versions.
-
ahhh poop! I was saving my pennies for hot 'n sweaty shorts!!
