Pleasers – silver glittery OK for poling?
Posted by Tine007 on August 25, 2010 at 10:21 amI’m eying another pair of Pleasers for both poling and going out https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cyclops_ani.gif
From the look I’d prefer the silver glittery ones, but I have no idea how sticky they are – are they any good for pole (climbing, inverts etc)??
Sweet-440_silver.jpgThe alternative would be the clear top which I know sticks really well.
Sweet-408_clear.jpgIf anyone has experience with the silver ones I’d appreciate your feedback https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
Thanks!!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

The glitter WILL wear off and they do not stick. If you are going to climb in them I would suggest learning to hold/climb with your knees. Any material other than pvc or plastic is not going to give you grip.
-
Ive had both of them. The Silver ones will not have any top foot grip, so you may bruise there. I wore them for a competition – its in my videos as Pole Princess. Mine busted at the heels and ripped in half. The glitter did come off but I still had some left to for sparkle.

get some with glitter in the shoe like mine!https://www.studioveena.comhttp:://www.highheels.com.au/highheels/components/com_virtuemart/shop_image/product/taboo_708g_4acbe90770b21.jpg.
a bit big https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif but pleaser make some smaller one with different glitter ones xx

Thank you so much everyone for your input!!
It sounds like the clear ones are better for my intended use https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif
I am usually a barefoot dancer and even with shoes I try to grip with my skin rather than the shoe (I have black ones with a more narrow top), but I still wanna be safe in inverts etc. Also if the glitter comes off that’s not what I’d like…
@ ktjane – whoa, those look HOTTT!!!
Unfortunately, they only come as stilettos and taaallllller than what I’m looking for…I can barely walk holding on to a pole in my 6.5" stilettos, not to mention walk from bar to bar…
So I really want a low platform and a wide heel https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumright.gif
Plus, I’m almost 5’11" – without shoes I’m already taller than most of my friends in 6" heels, LOL!!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif -
ktjane those are nice shoes! My first pair were with the glitter on the outide and there is always glitter around after use LOL!
-
Those were my first pair of pole shoes and I do love them. I have noticed that a fair amount of the glitter has come off, but they will always hold a special place in my heart. I wish I could comment on the stick effect from them, but my new shoes (which have a plastic top) havent come in yet so I have nothing to compare to. I do like how my legs look in them if that helps https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

Yea I want to know the brand and model # too! -
Just a little info….if you right click on any of these photos you can see their info. Typically if it is snagged from a website they will have the style name and number as part of the image name. Doing that I was able to find out that these are Pleaser Taboo style 708G.

I have not had those exact shoes you posted, but I’ve had similar ones w/ the glitter on top and just like everyone has said, the glitter does wear off after a while. Even just wearing them as regular shoes (no pole involved) the glitter stills wears off! =/
I know you said you don’t want shoes that tall/with that thin of a heel, but these are kind of similar?

Noooooooo https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif I was eyeing up a pair of glittery boots, thinking they must have a coating of clear pvc (or something similar) over the top of the glitter. So disappointed to hear they don’t but very glad this thread was posted! Sparkly boots would be awesome but not if they’ve got no grip.Sort it out, Pleaser!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif

Most of the manufacturers will state that they do not make POLE DANCING SHOES/BOOTS. This is also how if you damage them while pole dancing they will not replace them.

those are definitely gonna be my next shoes I buy! -
There were a pair of shoes that Jamilla DeVille wore in her James Bond routine that I fell in love with…I think she is also wearing them on the cover of the Art of Pole series. They look like they have silver glitter impregnated into the clear plastic. Not sure if they are the same ones in both instances but I WANT the ones from the Bond routine.

I have those Pleasers with the glitter strap and I love them. They do not help you stick to the pole, but they don’t harm either. I use the top of my foot to grip the pole instead, not the part where the strap is. I haven’t noticed any problems with the glitter coming off, but I do not wear them too often. My absolute favorite shoes to wear are the Pleasers Delight 609 with chrome heels and black patent strap. Those definitely stick to the pole and they are super comfy.
-
I think I may have found the Jamilla shoes…not sure. They are Karo 0250

Might have to ring up Sissy…..
I can’t tell if they are glittered on top or if it is part of the plastic….
They also have these which are kind of cool but not as glittery as I want (style 251):

Please let me stop looking at the Karo shoes. Just found a pair of pink glitteries (but with a bad strap design)….

I can’t look at this thread anymore https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif
I just ordered three pairs of shoes and I ship them to my husband’s work (we live in Canada, work in Detroit) and I think he MAY have a hard time explaining some of these things… https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_redface.gif -
