I’m sorry I won’t be able to attend. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cry.gif It’s my first and only wedding dress fitting for alterations at Davids Bridal & I couldn’t get any other date. I wanted to come so bad but having to be forced to put off my dress fitting so close to the wedding I had to sign up for the 7’th or otherwise I wouldn’t be able to get my alterations until the week of my wedding and who knows if my dress would even have been done. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif

Here is an update:
As of this morning we have just 10 tickets left for the pole jam.
We still have about 12 places remaining in the Transitions workshop.
You do not have to attend the pole jam, to take a workshop..though we certainly would like to see everyone at the jam too!

Well after last weekend up in Detroit I can hardly wait for the Midwest Pole Jam!
We’re down to about a half dozen tickets left for the jam! If you’re interested you can call or use Paypal to purchase tickets.
Also we still have room left in the workshops with Gravity Plays Favorites – who will be doing a performance at the Pole Jam too! Their act is just SO amazing to see in person!
But you don’t have to attend the pole jam to take a workshop and you don’t have to take a workshop to go to the jam. For more information click below:

Within the next couple of days I’ll start contacting everyone about making plans for after the jam to go out for the evening for those who are interested.

OK…so when is everyone getting into town? I know a lot of the Ohio contingent is not arriving until Saturday, what about everyone else? We are coming in on Friday. Changed our plans about bringing the motorhome and going to Priceline a hotel in the area.

Well, I just bought my ticket. EEEEEKS $30 is so much for me to spend right now, to say nothing of gas costs and etc. Ack I need a job. Well, guess I’m officially coming. Gonna go fan myself off and try to stop worrying about going broke. Being a pole instructor…does not pay the bills. LOL

I have people staying with me…I wish I could put you all up….but I’m of course hosting GPF at my home and then I have Charley and Nymph here for instructor training around that weekend too so they are staying with me too. Arrivals begin on Thursday and I think the last leaves the following Wednesday??? What a weekend it’s going to be!

I will be staying at my parents’ home in Oak Lawn, which is just about 30 minutes from the jam. There’s a good chance that both my parents will be out of town that weekend. If that’s the case, I would have tons of room to put people up. I could host 2 in beds plus I have an air mattress and a comfy couch, so I could host 4 in total if need be. If my parents will be home, I could host 2. Both are awesomely awesome and I can promise would not make anyone feel awkward about the reason for the trip IF they’re even around. It’s too bad that my boyfriend’s parents are not pole-friendly, they actually live in new Lenox.

This got much larger than I ever anticipated for such a short notice event.
We have a few openings for the Transitions workshop for those who are attending the jam and of course GPF is offering private lessons on Friday evening if anyone is interested in that.
We also have a big announcement coming up at the jam! It’s a surprise so everyone who can’t make it will find out after the jam what that’s about!

Empy: showcase….heh…uh, funny story about that………I’ve never actually performed in public before. The thought is kind of terrifying! I mean….there’s some people on this guest list that I’ve got butterflies just to meet, let alone perform in front of!
Poleophile: what time are you planning on getting in? I was thinking about coming straight to the jam from Decatur myself, but I could be back Friday evening if need be. I think my bf might be coming up with me for a break before school starts, but I’m not sure yet. I’m such a last-minute planner, I’m sorry! I’m sure we can work something out. I need to talk to my mom and my man this afternoon, I’ll let you know as soon as the plan is finalized.
UPDATE: parents will definitely be out of town, so I can host up to 4 quite comfortably.

PDR – I was nervous as all get out when we did our Detroit Showcase and it had been a very long time since I had performed anywhere for anyone and this was the largest crowd I had performed for and it was fine.
It’s good experience to get out there and perform especially for those who want to compete (I am not sure if that is a goal for you.) One thing I realized was – what I can do alone in front of a camera is different than what I can do when I in front of people. the nerves, the forgetfulness, the fumbling – it all happens and at the end of it no one notices any of that except you.
I just did a comp this weekend and lost but what I did say was this "If I am this nervous for a small local comp what am I going to do if I ever get accpeted into the USPDF or something else?" You are a good dancer. I won’t be arriving until about 6sih or so.
