I tried hand sanitizer on my hands and pole and my grip has improved a lot. I will give toothpaste a try. 🙂
Thanks for sharing!

It worked when I used my sons kid toothpaste and also when I used Colgate. Hope this helps others 2. Was really impressed with how well I was gripping as I usually have no grip whatsoever. I Just rubbed it Over my hands and then rinsed with water and thoroughly dried & it wrked a treat. xx

I don't have too many issues with grip as I am a fanatic for washing my hands with dishsoap before poling and consistent alcohol wipe downs but I will definitely try this for those occasional humid and diffuclt days!

it makes sense! i've heard of people putting a dab of toothpaste on zits to dry them out, so it probably has a drying effect. isnt there chalk or something in toothpaste? people put chalk on their hands to absorb sweat.
omg it would smell better than vinegar too (imo hahah)

Yea it’s lyk it dries them out and as u sed sells a lot better than vinegar. Lol. It defo works as I have done it a few times 2day Jst to make sure it wasn’t a 1 off thing, lol. Let me know how us all get on. xxx

I use crest but I'm going to give a go. Lol and if it doesn't work I'll buy colgate.
-
Lol. I tried it with 3 different makes of toothpaste and they all wrked, lol. Let me no how u get on chemgodess. xx

Wish I'd read this sooner. I just purchased a couple new grip aids when all I needed to do was open up my medicine cabinet and voila! Well now I have 3 grip aids to play with! Thanks for the tips! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

Lol, ur welcome ninja sarah. Was totally by accident I came across it, lol. It’s like it dries out ur hands which is perfect fr those like myself tht suffer really sweaty hands n hope this tip helps u. I’ve tried 3 different makes of toothpaste and they all worked. I’ve tried grips aids b4 and none of them have helped lyk toothpaste has. I hate grip aids as they seem to make ur hands all sticky which is useless wen on th pole. Let me know if I have any joy with it also. 🙂 xxx

How is it after a couple minutes- 1/2 hr? What finish is the pole you’ve been trying this on? Are you warmed up, the pole warmed up, room ventilated (?spell)
I have BAD grip and I have tried so much ideas, waiting for pine tar! And it all comes down to (for me) the different conditions of me, pole, room, weather/temperature.
Paste or gel. Haven’t used toothpaste idea yet. Vinegar is working out normally- yes everyone knows when I’ve been around! -
I get really really really sw
eaty hands. I’ve tried with & without warming up. I usually have to wipe the pole after 1 spin, pole trick. I used my pole for 1hr yeaterday after doing it & I still had a great grip. Let me no how u get on. xx -
Ok…so as soon as I read this, I did like a little kid and ran to try this…thank god we use colgate…well…all I have to say is that my pole and I will be smelling minty fresh in class tomorrow!!! Yayy 🙂

Did I find u had a better grip on it pole. If not try ribbon the toothpaste onto dry hands as then rinse and towel drt thorough. xxx
-
I did have a better grip…I also felt my hand very dry after washing them, it was like using pole grip
-
And it’s a lot cheaper than buyin pole grip, lol. And the best thing is u don’t even need a lot of toothpaste. Glad to see it worked for someone else also. 🙂 xxx
-
yes!! thank you so much….I'm on my 3rd bottle of pole grip already!! I was thinking of getting the gloves from pole grip, but they are so expensive….I already packed my toothpaste for tomorrows' class!! 🙂
-
Lol, your welcome, glad to help people save money as pole grip is quite expensive where as u can buy toothpaste cheap & on the plus side I & ur pole will smell minty fresh, lol. I bought the gloves and don’t feel they make a difference especially for people who get really sweaty hands as ur hands still sweet user th gloves and ur gingets stil show so the sweet goes to ur fingers which makes u have a slidey grip so it’s lyk ur not wearing the gloves 🙁 also they seem to rip & tear very quickly mines are coming away at the seams already 🙁 u might find them better than what I did but me personally I wouldn’t recommend them huni. xxx

I use colgate it is my fave tooth paste so i will try this my next practice & let you know how it goes!
-
I did a short work-out after using toothpaste as a grip aid, and it worked for me. Yea!! Sweaty hand problem solved. 🙂
-
Woohoo, so glad I’ve helped others get a better grip & also saved u’s money aswel. *Walkin around with massive cheesy smile now* lol… I love usin toothpaste now, lol. I’ve never had such a great grip ever!! And the best part is it doesn’t Jst last a few minutes, it lasted for a whole hour of on the pole, yea stil had to wipe th pole a few times but not anywhere near as much as I was. Hope every1 has joy with this. 🙂 keep me updated and let me know how us all get on. xxx
