Naming Your Pole?
I’ve always wondered…People come up for names for all sorts of inanimate objects. For example, my mother calls her car Sophie. I think it’s just a cute little idea to humanly name an object 🙂 So my discussion is does anyone here name their poles for whatever reason? I’d have no idea what to call mine! But how amusing is it to give your pole a name, like a real dance partner! 😀

I’m also curious as to if any of you name your pole? I name everything. I call the voice in my computer that tells me the time Jiles, he is like the butler. The fridge is Martha and she beeps at me in a bitchy glare if left open too long. My pole has had a name since day one. He is Mr. Skinny, the sexiest slim dance partner I’ve ever had. I like to tell my husband that I’ve got a date with Mr. Skinny and it is going to get steamy but he can watch! 😛

A bitchy fridge?! Haha I love it! As for Mr. Skinny…I hope your husband doesn’t get too jealous of his chrome rival 😛 When mine arrives I’ll be abandoning my boyfriend…Except when I start doing the hard stuff, then I can show off that I’m stronger than him! (he’s a boxer) 😛

My Chrome XPole is “Sully”. Named after Anne Sullivan, the Miracle worker, lol. My SV pole is “Grape Ape”. Named after an old cartoon.

Oh! My car’s name is “Buzz”. Named after Buzz Lightyear because it’s an Infinity (to Infinity and Beyond)!!

My xpole was named “Kittens Explorer” as suggested by a random screen name generator. My PS went nameless (it got renamed several times and it was hard to keep track). My Lil Mynx is “Buttons”. My car is “fishpuddles”

My purple pole was named Dixie after the colour she was pc’ed in, Dixie Purple. Never named my brass, and haven’t found a name for my 45 titan. My car has the nickname the Red Racer.
@Saphyre; I remember watching Grape Ape growing up, or at least old re-runs. 😛 Ahhh the good ole days of cartoons 😉

My pole’s name is Gal-Up Pole. It was such a lame pun I had to do it! I’ve already got a name picked out for the spin pole I’ll get some day in the future – it’ll be True North.

360′ is my poles name…but sometimes I call it lover 😉

My 50mm TG is “goldilocks”
My 50mm chrome is “sterling” after Sterling Archer, since I have a love-hate relationship with that character and that pole. Decent grip, horrible diameter.
my 45mm brass is “Pinchy”
my 40mm chrome is “twig”
I haven’t thought of a name for my 45mm stainless yet. -

My previous pole, 45 Chrome X-Pert was named Princess Serena after Sailormoon and current 38mm Brass Bobbi’s pole is called Braxton. =)

I also love Sailor Moon 🙂 I have all 500 episodes in japanese with English subs. I… “borrowed” them? lol
Apparently there’s going to be a reboot of Sailor Moon out… they keep pushing the date back, though. I have a lot of younger friends who are super excited, so I get my information from them! -
I bought them back in the 90s or 00s and they don’t make them anymore. I even have some manga and comic books (th9ough not all of them), and a bunch of toys.

They have all the episodes, even up through the stars season, which was never aired in the US (since US television is prudish.) I personally prefer the japanese version better. The english translation and voices were crap. They changed characters to be hetero couples, where in the original they were gay. They made Uranus and Neptune cousins!! Fail.

Yes, I agree Aerial that the Eng voices were crap which is why I’ve insisted in watching it in Jap with Eng subs.
