  Multi-Piece Poles; Yay or Nay?

  Hello everyone! I am new to poling and interested in investing in a pole for my home. I was looking at Platinum Stages New Extreme Super Pole Multi-Piece. I am interested in it because i would like to have the option of moving it from my bedroom to my living room which has a considerable difference in cieling height. Do any of you have experience with multi-piece poles? I am worried that it wont be smooth when I am sliding and spinning. Thanks for the help <3

  Hi Karamel

  I have a multi piece but it loads from the top like this one: http://www.platinumstages.com/UK-Special-Multi-Piece-wcase-_p_286.html

  I like it (even though it was a bit slippery the last few days) someone else can tell you more about the extreme pole but I've read that if you phone the company they can be convinced to send a top loading pole like mine if you prefer.

  The good points are that it is sturdy, it switches easily from static to spin and it's removable.

  Not so good: problems with the threading getting stuck so it would be hard to screw together and unscrew. Luckily I bought mine through my pole studio and my teacher helped me and got me new pieces that screwed together properly so I didn't have to deal with their customer service which I've read is sometimes not so friendly. 

  Also I don't know how the bottom loading poles effect slides and spins but the sections that are attached in the middle of the pole are not a problem. There is no ridge that sticks out so you can move up and down smoothly.

  Thanks so much for the information, I wasn’t aware of the whole top and bottom loading difference. But ill try and do some more research on that too. I’m just really excited to get my pole and start practicing 🙂

  Heya 🙂

  I used a single piece brass pole at the studio and have 2 multi piece poles (one X-pole and one Platinum Stages) at home.

  Honestly, visually you see the difference, but physically when using my multi piece poles, I don't notice a difference at all.

  Thanks Sair! How it feels when in use is definately more important to me than anything else!
