    House of Pole has teamed up with Moses Carroll healthcare to present the Miss Georgia Pole Dance Competition to be held October 22nd-24th. The first event of its kind in the south, this will be a weekend long event filled with workshops, vendor exhibitions, awesome amateur and proffesional competitions and a very special fashion show brought to you by House of Pole showcasing the latest and greatest in pole fitness wear and accessories. The competition is open to all dancers in the south eastern region (not just Georgians!) both amateur and professional. All applicants will be given the opportunity to showcase their skills in front of the judges (one of those judges will be yours truly https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif ) in an exciting preliminary round. The top 12 will then be chosen to go onto the finals and have the chance to be awarded;

    Miss Technique – Best overall accomplishment of the specified tasks

    Miss Echo – Best overall stage performance

    Miss Fitness – Best overall strength and ability

    Miss Personality – Best overall stage presence

    Miss Creativity – Best overall uniqueness or

    Chel, Im sending you a trophy with a tiara!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_queen.gif As silly as it sounds, I work towards that kind of stuff – tiaras, sashes, trophies. I guess thats what happens when you were a National Cheerleaders Assoc. All-Star twice as a kid.

    Hi TORRIE24, THE FEES HAVE BEEN WAIVED. YOU CAN DO TRICKS BUT YOU ARE LIMITED ON TIME AND YOU HAVE CERTAIN MOVES THAT YOU NEED TO SHOW WITHIN THD TIME GIVEN. CHECK OUT http://www.mgpdc.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; for more information.

    PS. SORRY FOR THE CAPS!!!

    i am thinking about entering https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif i would enter as an amateur (obviously) lol! i have never even been to anything to do with pole, i have only poled alone at home so this would be a huge step for me!
    i was wondering, do most people in the amateur division do a ton more than what is required? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif i have had my pole for about a year but i am 100% self taught & like i said, i have never been to a pole competition.

    **ETA: is it OK to use iTac2 or mighty grip gloves in a competition???

    I noticed that as well, I would email your YouTube link to mailto:info@mgpdc.com
    The email address from the contact us page. I would also let them know to possibly add it to the rules and regulations page. I hope this helps. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_razz.gif

    i sent my video in last night! i’m totally an amateur! lol! i’m excited! i hope they approve my video & let me come play

    So you submit your video but that doesn’t automatically get you to the finals? Everyone who submits has to do a preliminary judging once you get there and that determines who’s in the finals? So you could put together a great competition routine but maybe not even get to perform it if prelims don’t go well. that would be crushing.

    Hey divas. This is Fiyastarta in Atlanta and I can answer any questions competitors may have about Miss Pole Georgia. Just ask!

    Can anybody who went/participated in this event give me more details about how it worked? The next Texas competition will be run in a very similar way. SO — the compulsory round — just walk up, do moves and leave? Then the whole formal dress part…??? What kinds of things did people do? The performance part, I can figure out, but I don’t have context for the other parts.

    Thanks so much!!
